Great job York, you do realize they've won every game since you became the Canuck blogger, but you know this fan base, you'll be the first one blamed when they lose, no pressure.

Rutherford on the plan with Vasily Podkolzin in Abby :
We are not in a rush to bring him up. Let him play, play, play and when he gets to Vancouver he will have 100% confidence.

Absolutely no hurry. He has done some things in Abby he would never have done here. Let him build his game.

I look at Hog as an example of young players being rushed without proper development and it shows the difference a year or two make.

Two more forwards that are benefiting on the Abby Canucks are Raty and Bains. Their names are showing on the score sheet much more regularly and the playmaking in going to the next level.

When he is called up or makes the roster he will be fully ready. It’s a nice position the prospects are in with less pressure & the time to develop to their best potential. Very few can do that if in the NHL too early. Better for the long term.

Pretty cool seeing pictures of coopers playing days in PG, I recognized a few of them.

There is a lot of maturing to be learned in the A. NHL is too big of a step with all that is going on & expected of roster players. You don’t learn when in over your head & like most players they won’t realize their potential forced into fasttracking. Sophomore jinx is a classic cliche in which I believe is after the novelty wears off what next? Getting a taste of one season ops also adjusts & the challenge only just begins. Not a wise way to go. Cannot wait to watch the other recent prospects develop at a pace that sets up success eventually. No rush.

I sort of laughed earlier when I had seen a post about whose fault the goal was. I will gladly take one goal against any day of the week and could not care less whose fault it was.

This is now two or three games of solid D regardless of the scores. Players make mistakes (expected or not).

Myers and the whole Canuck D has looked better IMO with the addition of Z. I watched a play where Z looked like he was going to lose a race to the puck and his long reach he was able to knock the puck to a safe area. I think the two big guys have been very stable as a team even though there has been mistakes.

Haven't you been paying attention? It's Benning's fault, we're 3 years away from being 3 years away from it not being Benning's fault.

A Friend just sent me this.

Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates.

'In honor of this holy season' Saint Peter said, 'You must each possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven.'
The man from Nova Scotia fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a lighter. He flicked it on. 'It represents a candle', he said.
'You may pass through the pearly gates' Saint Peter said.

The man from Saskatchewan reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of keys he shook them and said, 'They're bells.'
Saint Peter said 'You may pass through the pearly gates'.

The Newfoundlander started searching desperately through his pockets and finally pulled out a pair of women's panties.
St. Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked, 'And just what do those symbolize?'

The Newfie replied, 'These are Carols.'
