I sort of laughed earlier when I had seen a post about whose fault the goal was. I will gladly take one goal against any day of the week and could not care less whose fault it was.
This is now two or three games of solid D regardless of the scores. Players make mistakes (expected or not).
Myers and the whole Canuck D has looked better IMO with the addition of Z. I watched a play where Z looked like he was going to lose a race to the puck and his long reach he was able to knock the puck to a safe area. I think the two big guys have been very stable as a team even though there has been mistakes. - VANTEL
I’m ok with mistakes as long as the scoring against is managed. We’ve the fire power to push for goals just don’t want to chase games often or play wide open. Clamping down is a big step & more often they get it done consistently will be huge. |

A Friend just sent me this.
Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates.
'In honor of this holy season' Saint Peter said, 'You must each possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven.'
The man from Nova Scotia fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a lighter. He flicked it on. 'It represents a candle', he said.
'You may pass through the pearly gates' Saint Peter said.
The man from Saskatchewan reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of keys he shook them and said, 'They're bells.'
Saint Peter said 'You may pass through the pearly gates'.
The Newfoundlander started searching desperately through his pockets and finally pulled out a pair of women's panties.
St. Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked, 'And just what do those symbolize?'
The Newfie replied, 'These are Carols.' - A_SteamingLombardi

Thanks NYN, great to see you follow through and provide consistent information. Oilers coming, looks like they’ll be in the hunt sooner than later. Flames working on a top 6 pick. |

You an Oilers fan now? Lots of hockey left. The Flames can still play themselves back into the mix. |

The Anaheim Ducks have now lost 12 of their last 13 games. They've been outscored 27 to 53 in that stretch. Incredible falloff. #FlyTogether
Ducks in a couple years if they continue to draft well is going to be real good. They have some good pieces Drysdale, Carlsson, MacTavish, Terry, Zegras, Mintyukov.
Zellweger although very small is doing really well in the AHL. Other than that maybe some longer term pieces that will become bottom 6's.
Lots of 2nd and 3rd round picks similar starts to AHL careers like Lind, Woo, Klimovich, Gadjovich, Lockwood and Brisebois types. |

I know you like to refer to this, so I’ll do it to you. He’s still 7th overall in scoring for his draft year, which was kinda weak beyond Dahlin, B. Tkachuk, Q. Hughes & Svechnikov. Montreal and Arizona reached for centers that year, always take BPA when drafting that high. They’re gonna regret not taking Cooley as well!! |

It was a terrible draft. Quinn Hughes is leading that draft in scoring this year and overall. JK is only 7th because he has played more games. He is 11th in PPG.
No wonder Jim and Judd were (frank)ing pumped at Hughes falling to them. |

God forbid the team honour one of the greatest goalies in NHL history - NorthNuck
The one who desperately wanted to be traded from Vancouver and did a press conference to tell the world that his "contract sucked"? The one who asked to be in Florida Panthers gear in the Hockey Hall of Fame?
The Ring of Honour is a joke. The Ring of Winning Sweet F uck All. |

Flames looked as though they were turning things around like EDM but the Markstrom injury is not helping. Plus they suck. |
