Karine Hains: In Hainsight: Good Start Was Not Enough The game started well for the Habs yesterday, but unfortunately it ended in a 4-3 shootout defeat.

I think in an ideal world Ghule would by then step up to take Matheson place, but he has to stay healthy to begin with

a lot of things can change in just 2 or 3 years. too much ?? left and right

Hutson might be closer to Tyson Barrie than Makar for all we know

The NHL is the best league in the god damn world and people forget about that

aren't they different types of defensemen though..?

When you shoot yourself in the foot that much (the NHL statistician gave the Canadiens 15) means you are leaving the result up to luck.''

not sure I got that right.

15 what? Turnovers in the game?

Cole Caufield was a nice flash in the pan.

Was fun while it lasted.

HB wouldn't be HB if there weren't any overly depressing posts, and whining. lots of whining.

Actually I don't know if Caufield is a problem so much as St-Louis thinking all his players have the same hockey IQ he had. Players who aren't of St-Louis' caliber in terms of IQ need a system to support their play.

And so far, his "system" has proved either too complicated or too lax for most of the team to grow their game in it. They do not progress and look disorganized most of the time. I like St-Louis, but the lack of progress from the team as whole is not a good look.
