Vally was on Kyper and Bourne yesterday and summed up our big picture very well, yet again. We are very lucky to have Vally as our main panelist for games with MSG!

Essentially we all know that we need to improve drastically at chances off the rush, but he also named the lack of a dominant guy as being a challenge to us winning the cup. Super high bar of stanley cup or bust of course, but after sniffing all around a championship for the past 15 years without one, that's where we are at I think. Have to not just look at what can get us into the playoffs and be competitive there, but what puts teams over the top. Unfortunately, the lack of a Mackinnon, Stone/Eichel, Kucherov/Stamkos/Hedman, etc. is not an easy problem to fix mid-season, or even in the offseason!

Panarin and Fox and Shesty are each dominant?

Not in the same way as those guys, though. We have all seen how little Panarin gets to the inside and creates any offense in the playoffs, how much we rely on the PP for offense (which doesn't go as far in the playoffs), and how goaltending is necessary but often doesn't separate you from other contenders like a dominant forward or two does.

I think Adam Fox is better and more dominant than anyone on VGK. Panarin is better this season than eichel/stone and is doing it all. Last season doesn’t matter

I agree with your pride and your assessments. But, the bolded isn't true until we see a more engaged and dominant Panarin in the post-season.

Sure.. what I’m saying is he seems determined to shake off that narrative and has been doing everything better so far. Its not reasonable to expect him to be a playoff rockstar based off of a third of the season the same way it’s not reasonable to see the first third of the season as anything but highly encouraging

Quick has almost 4 times as many games played and 10 times the amount of games started compared to Auld as Rangers.

I might be looking to sell mine for Friday night if you have interest. Not a hand out but face value with no added fees.

My wife suggested I sell the tickets...that means I am selling the tickets. If you want them, DM me your cell number and I will send you the tickets and my venmo. I always just prefer to have a fan in the seats as opposed to trying to sell them on the secondary market.

Respectfully disagree, but it doesn't matter much what we think anyways. Like Jimbro said, we basically have to hope Panarin turns into a Kucherov in the playoffs, and I think we'll also need our guys with potential (Miller, Laf, Schneider, hell even Kakko and Chytil if they are playing at that point) to all take huge steps and realize their potential if we want to take home le coupe stanley

We have to hope what he's done so far this season carries over into the playoffs is what i'm saying and i don't think it's far-fetched.. Not too much of a difference in our thinking
