Bill, do you think the guy that hit Frost will get a small suspension? Seemed pretty intentional.

Second game in a row where I felt the Flyers looked slow and had a bad 3rd period. The Flyers just didn't seem to have their legs in this one, and were out of sync for just about the entire game. In fact both goals the Flyers scored were lucky ones, with the first one off Frost's skates from behind the net (I have never seen this in all my years watching and playing hockey), and then Cout's PP goal where it looked like the Nashville defender poked the puck right to Couts in the slow. Even though the Flyers had over 30 shots, the Flyers only had 8 high danger chances overall, and once again lost the possession battle in the game and were badly out-chanced. The Flyers were lucky the other night to get 2 points against the Devils, tonight it caught up to them.

Well I said ND should sit, 523 of TOI is like sitting.

It could be here, Flyers look slower, lose a game, 2nd game of BTB and 3rd in 4 nights, then a break. Their first challenge to their season

I think they should have traded Laughton and Konency. In the case of both, it’s not about like or dislike. Konency is one of this team’s greatest surprises. My attitude is, sell high on a really good player when you’re transitioning into the next era.

I predicted a tough week. I personally had the Flyers going 1-1-1. We beat the wings.. We lose to the Devils in OT. Nashville beats us outright. Nashville is good defensively in my opinion and their goaltending is solid. We’re current 1-1-0. I’m hoping I’m wrong and we come out on top tonight for 2-1-0 for the week. I don’t like Detroit. Good offense, below average elsewhere.

They simply can’t sell high on an asset because the organization doesn’t have the correct mindset.

Did you see the leafs get destroyed by buffalo last night? Goaltending meltdown and buffalo dropped 9 on them

Agreed! Those two are in the running for disappointments of the year so far. I mean, we all know he has stone hands offensively, but he's (Laughts) been horrid on the defensive side of the puck as well. Atkinson is just invisible with the exception of taking a bad penalty and missing on yet another breakaway.

It's bizarre that Farabee hasn't replaced Foerster on the top line.

For all those calling for Trots to be named Coach of the year, Tocchet has Vancouver in first place in the league.

Vancouver has been playing even better than Philly, and their players have totally bought into Tocchets system.Multiple players in the top 50 in the league for points, and their goalie has been just as good as Hart and Ersson.

Just saying.

TK has been great. Foerster for the most part has had a solid year….like last year with Tippet, Torts is giving him every chance to succeed. Offensively I’m sure they are hoping for more. As far as Atkinson and Laughton? We’ve seen how good both these guys can be…we just aren’t seeing it very much this year.

I consider Konency a surprise since last season. Meaning I include last season. I don’t think we’ve seen him play to this level as “the guy” when G and Jake were here.

You can probably compare the rookie development of Foerster to a young Sean Couturier. We know Coots was great positionally and defending but the offense came a little later.

probably numerous injuries.

5 minutes for ND. Imagine having someone in that spot to play 10-12 to ease the burden on other players. Cam still getting quality time

Be interesting to see if hart gets the start tonight. Might be wise to let him recover longer through the break but o also don’t want to see Petersen start.

If you're only gonna play ND 5 minutes a game get someone else in there! The guy can't skate at an NHL level anymore. Are they just realizing this now? His presence really kept that guy from smacking Frost silly. Eh what?
