Problem is the rangers and Dolan will never do a full rebuild. Fine line between being good while still being relevant and selling tickets. They did a hard retool which is probably the best you will see from them

Rangers need a third line center, no matter if Chytil comes back this year or not, in case if he does comeback and gets hurt again and a 6th/7th defense man.

That’s my point on Hayes. We could do a lot worse than him. Since Chytil is such a question mark it could be beneficial to get a guy with term left. Because next year we’ll have to trade more assets for ANOTHER 3C

We have zero defensive depth and zero center depth. The 2 most important positions that are the foundation for winning.
