I think Briere made lemonade out of lemons. He got good value back for a player that has never played an NHL game.

Ok..so Briere says he was told in May that Gauthier wouldn't sign here. Should that have changed the drafting approach last year? Was drafting Bonk the right way to go if he had a chance to draft a scoring forward, knowing CG wanted out, and drafted a dman. I have defended that pick, but knowing what we know now, with what was on the board, Perreault, was it the best idea?

The future for the Flyers changed drastically today. No matter the spin...I think the Flyers look bad today. A top US born prospect saying he won't sign. Torts effect? The Flyers overall?

Being petty now, but Bill said he could be a JVR. Hoping that is the most he becomes now.

said that earlier about the Bonk pick. I am not criticizing the trade at all. What I am criticizing is how hard this franchise has fallen ( a top pick wanting out), Snider is screaming at someone in heaven. To know this as the 2023 draft, wonder what his value was at that time? Flyers imo didn't want to move him and tried to "work" it out with cutter. Then got to where we are today

I don't think so. The facts are coming out. Kevin Hayes is a loser and is viewed as a loser everywhere he has gone. He was detrimental to the younger Flyers players in the locker room and apparently poisoned Gauthier also. That is why the Flyers paid a heavy price to get rid of him. At the end of the day, the Flyers just obtained a potential top pairing defenseman and PP QB with over 100 NHL games under his belt plus a 2nd round pick for a LW who was a poor center and hasn't played a professional game yet.

I was looking forward to seeing cutter here and expecting he’d be a contributor. Shocked by the trade but he didn’t want to play here so we got something for him that has a chance to be decent.

Don't ask me, ask those who voted. I watched a lot of the games and this is my opinion.

Curious to see the plan to acquire a top 6 center.

You know, this trade can be looked at positively without the BS drama.

Clearly Ottawa had a better team during the last 3 years which helps a bit, but if he can skate and move the puck....I like it.

The big negative (normal for Philly) is injuries and staying healthy. If Drysdale goes down for an extended period this year, the Buzz may explode.
