I’m sure young players and their parents/family see the Morgan Frost situation and are turned off. I don’t blame prospects for avoiding Torts. It won’t be the last time…..

That’s complete nonsense. No college kid or their family is following the day to day of an NHL team before they sign nor is Morgan Frost a household name that anyone would even care. Besides Gauthier apparently made his decision before this season so the Morgan Frost situation hadn’t even occurred yet.

1) if they knew this in May a month or 2 before draft that’s a horrible use of capital. Could’ve traded him there. Or at the least that means you have had this problem for 7+ months and the best you could do is drysdale and a 2nd in 2025.

I do like the idea of immediately getting a solid d prospect that can be in the lineup right away and they desperately need a pp qb. If he can be a viable top 4 d then it’s probably a good trade.
