I'm probably a veteran of this stuff more than anyone here

the nastiest it's ever been was on the NY Times Ranger blog during the dark years, specifically like 1998-2002 years

that was ugly ugly times

He’s 38. We already have wheeler
- picklerick

Yea but Perry knows his role... on and off the ice. Perry on the 4RW is a significant upgrade over Pitlick.

Wheeler is trying to play a game/style he can no longer keep up with.

I will say, one positive out of Chytil potentially being back at the end of the month is that it may force Drury's hand to trade Goodrow to create cap space.

Corey Perry sucks and I hate him. This is who should play on our 4th line if TB falls off

Is he going to play?? Lmao I can’t with anymoreeeee
- Slimtj100

I figured you were totally against Chytil coming back. If he does rangers won’t be able to make any trades outside a depth move.

That's not too bad. But, it looks like he takes a lot of penalties. That we've got covered.

That’s funny… I was eye balling him

Him, motte (just because) and Raddysh, RHD. Who we may have had a few years ago…not for Schneider

Just watching the wild game, I could get down with Maroon. Hed probably a better fit for the 4th line over wheeler

That’s the key. If the rangers knew it would
Change everything. Also if the rangers were to announce he is out for the rest of the season but possible for the playoffs is that cap circumvention? Not sure if tampa ever announced it or just didn’t activate them till the playoffs lol

They must know he’ll be back. Or I think he would’ve been announced as season over by now. Has to be why it’s so under wraps. No, hes definitely available the playoffs regardless i know that for sure

I’m just worried about him getting dinged up again POST TDL, and then we’re (frank)ed. I bet he’ll trade for an emerging guy capable of 3C duties in case. Novak or Ruzicka would be ideal. Under a million bucks and can be the 4C next season. Maybe trade a Sykora or something

Yea that’s why I wanted Hayes for example.

I’m definitely in a better mood with him potentially coming back. He’s got to be careful. He can skate so well but loses his vision of where he is sometimes and that’s when he’ll get in trouble. They could also trade for a center and move him to wing

It’s a shame Wheeler lost a step because he was a really good player for a long time

Pitlick doesn’t bother me like he does most here. He can’t score but he’s pretty big and fast. He’s like best of the worst guys we have. Would I upgrade sure but I haven’t seen him as problem that much

Difference is Perry can score and agitate. Imagine Vesey with Ruzicka and Perry, guys that can actually play and score. Then you have Cuylle back with Kakko and Chytil. The only major hole would be RW1.

Improvements can be made on D, however I believe that with the improvements at forward, it will make life easier on D.

I agree with this. Definitely hurts the D having so many blah players up front. I’m giving the D a pass for the most part since we saw how well they played early in the season. Just some bad habits. #4 just needs more consistency to leave my doghouse

Cuylle could take this opportunity and run with it. That would be a very good thing. Sounds like he’s playing on the top line isn’t he? Daily faceoff doesn’t have Vince’s last update I don’t think

What the heck happened to Turcotte? 5th overall pick in 2019 and has played the entire season in the AHL.
