I know its sacrilege to talk about breaking up 10 16 13, but Zegras is anything but a 3rd line player. I have a very formulaic/rigid view as far as how lines are supposed to be put together. My view is that the 3rd line is a defensive line that can chip in on the scoreboard. Zegras does not play D and he is not good on faceoffs. Someone with the skill level of Zegras needs to be playing between 10 and 13 or you try him on the wing with 20 and 93. Zegras my fill a center role on paper, but he would be very misused on the 3rd line.

Pretty sure he forced Quebec's hand and said he would never play for them, which is why they traded him. Then you had the "deal that never happened" between Quebec and NYR when the owner of the team made a handshake deal with the Rangers, however it got vetoed by the NHL.
