So, in spite of Tippet's energy, the guy who to me appears to have the most skill after TK is Frost (Couts plays a different game so I leave him out of this). |

That was awfully impressive by Ersson. - PT21
He’s been fantastic in shoot outs and generally solid. |

This is absolutely why you trade hart and don’t pay him. Ersson if just as good |

He came skating down there and took a shot there… - Dkos
Happy with what drysdale brings. He could improve a lot on d but he wasn’t too bad.
I’ll take the win but it was ugly. |

I think we can safely assume Poehling and Laughton are 4th line centers. The lack of depth shows throughout a game.

Big two points! - jd250
I don't know about that. It's two points in the standings but not an impressive game. First line dominated the game. The Flyers are a team that is competitive and can check but you can see their game slipping. They're wearing down due to the style they play. They can generate scoring chances but not enough high quality. They are having an issue scoring goals and that is only going to get worse as the season goes along.

There is a certain dynamic and balance Drysdale has brought to this back end in his first game. Drysdale, Sanheim and York you cannot question will play in OT. I know Zamula saw sometime at even strength but it’s very clear what the pairs are. Drysdale/Sanheim, Walker/York, Rostolainen/Seeler. I’m seeing a lot of balance.
Seems to me the forwards are what needs to get going. |

Already this guy is 100x the pro Quitter will ever be. Pumps up Frosty to the media on the goal, says what a great org this is getting his family here, the atmosphere etc. I don’t care if it’s lip service, dude said all the right things and I’m pumped he’s here. |

What we see now halfway through the season to me is that we have solid goaltending, now a reasonable d corps. We have some decent pieces but a severe lack of finish and high end skill at forward. Picks picks picks and maybe a smart ufa signing in a year or two to supplement that. Until this happens we’re not turning the corner. |

Pretty confident Dale Hunter won't let them ghost the Flyers brass. It's interesting the Flyers have organizational depth on the blueline, I do not think this deep for at least 20 yrs. I think Andrae will be a regular in the NHL. |

Tyson F, he will never be a great skater but if he can get better edgework, little more strength it will help. Edges and strength will help better position his feet, which should help is release and accuracy. All things he can improve. |

He looks confident as all hell in shootouts. |

Tippett & Drysdale, Frost my favorites tonight. Atkinson & Hartnell worst. (sounds more and more like a old rusty parrot). |

They have depth and depth has never really been a problem. They have depth at forward, defense and net. Where they don't have any depth is high end players. Drysdale obviously has raw skill and is very young but he is very raw. He is going to need some time.

Frost had one of his better games, he makes plays in tight that go unnoticed but he has to put up points because not many can on this squad. |

In the top 9, Atkinson and Laughton are anchors. They really need a Voracek/ Jagr type winger. Don't have one of those in the organization, and of course more centers.

I know it’s cliche’….but they do always say “power” or bigger forwards always take a bit more time? |
