He has slowed a little of late…but all three Quinn brothers are so bloody good.

We’re definitely doing too much winning. We need to sell. Anyone expecting to make the playoffs is easily fooled.

Unless the Flyers have a MAJOR collapse, they will make the playoffs. Now before all the weirdos pop out and claim all Flyer fans think they are going to the cup...that's not realistic, but it's possible they have a magic run no one expects.

What’s crazy….this team appears to be getting better. I was pleased with their play early on but they are actually improving at a time where a lot of Cinderella stories hit the stroke of midnight. I don’t know what of make of it. I was one of the more optimistic fans coming in to this year, but they have exceeded my expectations.

It's funny you mentioned this. I met someone from Philly last night and he loves the Eagles and Phillies, not really big into hockey. I told him he should consider watching the Flyers now that the Eagles are done, and explained how the season has gone for the Flyers so far. He replied, the Phillies got to the World Series and collapsed. The Eagles were 11-1 and collapsed. The Sixers were better than the Celtics last season and lost. Spoken like a true Philadelphia sports fan I replied. Hoping the Flyers will buck the trend.

Ya…that argument has been proven to be somewhat laughable considering the way they’ve played.

If they keep up this pace and this level of play against the best teams in the NHL why can't they be cup contenders? It's very possible if we stay healthy.
Nobody wants to play 7 games against this flyers team right now. Nobody. Every NHL podcast says the same thing-- Nobody wants to face them for 7 games.
I didn't think we'd amount to anything this season amd i was very wrong. But I'm on board now and see the magic happening with these guys.

Ersson keeps putting on the pressure for Hart to match him. It is a good problem to have for the rest of the year.

The flyers would need to pull out one of those 10 game winless streaks to miss the playoffs. They could even win a round.
Realistically they still have some glaring holes. Nice win tonight. I don’t think Dallas was on their game tonight. To the flyers credit they did what you should do against a team when they aren’t playing their best.

Well the Flyers have been playing well and fun to watch since November. I think we’ve all had legitimate reasons to tune in since that time and some have had faith early. Of course there were many mocking others and using the words “fools”, claiming we're being fooled and those same people claimed that they’re not easily impressed. Those people know who they are. Now the Flyers aren’t contending and they could go back to crap next season but there’s no reason not to support your team right now.

Yes, crazy indeed! It's shocking and pleasantly surprising to see where they are at this point. I don't know what to make of it either. We lost what, like 7 of 8? Then back to the current great run. I always try to be optimistic but I am also realistic. I keep saying they aren't that good, but they keep proving me wrong. I will never root for them to lose, regardless of who is coaching/in charge. I want to see great hockey games and also be excited about the future, and that's what is happening right now.

I agree, but the beauty of sports is things can change and the same goes for any team. Only thing the Flyers can do is continue to learn, build chemistry and trust. Maybe they get knocked out in the 1st round...maybe, maybe they go a bit further...maybe, but this is how a team grows and filter out who belongs and what else is needed. Look how long it's taking Toronto to figure this out and still making the same mistakes.

That's the difference for me, the Flyers sucked last year (injuries obviously a leading reason), but they were fun for me to watch last season too compared to the previous 10 years or so.

Absolutely! He wasn't tested as much tonight but he's been clutch all season and seems to be the real deal.

That's the situation a lot of Flyer fans can't seem to comprehend, just because there's something shiny and new doesn't mean you get rid of competition/depth.

I know Bob asked for a trade, but the smartest thing would of been keeping him just in case what actually happened, happens.

Frosty with another solid night on both sides of the puck. He earned his two apples.
He looks to have elevated his game judging by his play the last few games. Now we just need to see him maintain this level of consistency and keep this up

Very fair opinion, especially when it comes to Toronto. Nylander goes on an absolute tear until he gets his contract 😂😂
I love it
But you're right about saying anything team can fall off at any time but just like with the eagles, there is usually locker room issues and I don't see that with this team. At least not since they got rid of some locker room cancers in the off season.
If the Flyers keep this level of play up and running then I hate to admit it but my hopes are going up after each time that they dominate other top teams.
It feels good to be invested in our team again though.... I haven't felt this way in a couple of years

Agreed. I absolutely love this goaltending tandem. We have never had a tandem this strong in my lifetime.
Ersson has still only shown us a small sample size and the book on him hasn't been written yet. While he has been absolutely brilliant its not enough for me to want to trade Hart....yet.

Yes, it was great to see Frosty's play tonight and this past week. Last year, and some games this year, I'd be looking for him and didn't notice him much. I've been noticing him a lot lately which is great to see. I hope Torts keeps giving him top line minutes and chances to show us what he can do.

I just love my team. To say they’re not trying to improve by anyone is ridiculous. They’re not improving or progressing the way most want. There’s a difference. I can’t remember how many times the Flyers came to Detroit last season but I haven’t missed the come here since 2006, plus traveling to other areas mixed in there since 2002. In fact I was at the last Pittsburgh game (in Pittsburgh) of last season when both teams were bad. I just really love hockey. Plus Toews was retiring. Kane was just traded. It was just a real wake up call to go see Crosby and Malkin play before they retired. I went in the spare of the moment, and it just happened to be Kris Letang’s 1000th game. I also saw Hartnell’s 1000th game in Columbus on a whim.

I don't know it would have helped the team keeping a guy who publically stated he wanted to go. For this year, the tandem works. There has already been a lot of debate what to do.in the summer with the tandem. It litterally is a tandem right now- my personal belief is they are giving Ersson every chance to show he is the better option going fwd. Fun to watch how it plays out.

Is this true? Bob wanted out? I was under the impression the Flyers just traded him because they thought Mason or Bryz or whomever was better. I can’t remember the exact situation.
