When Tippett is up on his skates like this he kinda reminds me of that Mackinnon guy. Not saying he is at his level, but damn...

It kind of makes you think that Tippet might actually develop into an elite forward doesn't it?

I spent the whole game saying “what is happening, what is happening, what is ….”

I can’t believe this team.

Frost played great. So did Walker. Trade him or keep him?

- coffee junkie

I trade Walker at the deadline if the price is right. What I mean is a 1st round pick or two 2nd round picks. Anything lower in this draft is not worth losing him for IMO. Risto is also a candidate if the Flyers retain a little salary. Teams are sometimes willing to give up more for a player with term because its cost certainty for them.

He has a lot of work to do before then. Right now, I will settle for 30 goals and the ability to go on an absolute heater from time to time.

I am interested to see what his next contract looks like.

I would trade Seeler, his price will never not get any higher. But if someone offered a great deal for Walker i would trade him.

Despite the success this season they should move Walker. Any chance you have to acquire first or second round picks for a player that is not a core player you should do it.

I think Walker is the only player that will get traded.

Another 15/20 games like this and I keep them all and try to make a run.
Like the Blues 5 years ago.
What team in the East can't they beat 4 out of 7 times?
What team is hotter in the East with better goaltending?

again, see St. Louis 2019

If the Flyers keep playing at this level. They're not going to trade anyone.

I feel like you are right. In all honesty Walker is really the only player that I will be disappointed that they do not trade. Walker, Staal and Seeler are the only UFA's they have. Staal may not have any interest. Seeler might have more value as a 6/7 defender over the next two years.

It ain't a bad thing to have 1 or 2 extra depth forwards and D heading into the playoffs. Gaining Drysdale and now Cates in a week and losing no one is huge down the stretch in case of injuries, giving guys some extra rest. Plug and play!

The Flyers are not only 2 points behind the Rangers for 1st place in the Metro. And TK is still the Flyers' top scorer and he is 44th in the league in scoring, amazing! It's truly the sum of the parts versus individuals on this team.

The tools are there, size, skating, shot, instincts ... if he puts it all together that will be a sight to see. We have seen glimpses of it over the past two seasons, but now we are seeing more and more.

Tippett reminds me of Phil Kessel in his prime.
- roenick97

I could see that -- they definitely look similar with the puck on their sticks. And they're both kinda non-existent defensively.

Phil could really hurt you with his vision and passing tho. Tipp seems to be missing that.

Unfortunately, the Flyers have always lived in the moment. Lack of forward thinking. They see today's success and will not want to rock the boat with a trade. The reality is they will not be able to afford to re-sign Walker (and maybe even Seeler) so we will lose them for nothing. At this point i'm hoping we don't trade future assets for an aging vet-tran.

I totally agree, but the Flyers bought low on Seeler and his stock has never been so high nor will it go any higher. I am sure they can get something good for him in a trade.

Interesting article with an interview from Mike Richards who talked about how important his playoff run with the phantoms and the Flyers playoff run in 2010 was for development of younger players. Do I think the Flyers should move out some guys for future assets? Of course. But a playoff series for a lot of these young guys would be huge in their development. I agree DB has some tough decisions to make.

We see hot streaks and the ability to beat defenders one on one. He can be a successful player with just that. However, he is lacking other qualities to get to an elite level. Still a very good player who should regularly be a 30 goal scorer.

So lose Walker for nothing in the summer?
Wait...how can you say that the Flyers will trade their best dman in Risto? That is inconceivable!!!

Walker was good and bad, couple really bad shifts, one directly leading to a goal against

Other than having good shots, don’t see many similarities. Kessels speed almost snuck up on guys, he was great shooting while skating off the rush too. Tippett is like a bull in a China shop, and he’s much more physical.

The Dallas announcers could not say enough good things about the Flyers. Tips goal was nasty.

I watched this game in shock last night. I couldn't believe that Dallas only had 1 shot on goal last night in the first period. ONE!!! Unfrigginbelievable.

Between this game and the Winnipeg game, I'm starting to think they may have the mojo this year. Now, every team they face will be bringing their A game against the Flyers. This makes for some really fun hockey to watch unlike prior years.
