We don’t fully know what happened. According to reports victim is on camera saying she was willing? Also reports to willing to just certain things? Was this clear gang rape? Was it regret after the fact? Some degree of both? We simply might never know. Or it might all come out.

It seems more likely this wasn’t clear gang rape. This reeks of alcohol in teenagers making bad decisions and situation going way to far.

The “woke” of it is simply labeling it as some gang rape without context. When I think of gang rape I certainly don’t think about not considering the whole situation. I in no way would ever condone gang rape. And if it comes out that victim was CLEAR she didn’t want sex beyond player 1 or was forced to stay etc etc etc then yes that’s gang rape and not woke. I simply don’t think that’s what happpened here. And I’m not saying she wasn’t raped or assaulted either. It’s a strange situation but 1 that easily can be believed. From either side actually.

Who really knows? Have to wait from now on I guess. Could be years before this is resolved or even gets to trial. What I’ll say is that because I’m a flyers fan, I always go straight to the worst case scenario and I do expect that’s what will come to pass because it always does.

I’m exactly there. Just got to wait but I expect it’ll all come out soon. This will be top news in Canada for years. I expect them all to be suspended until it’s resolved. The flyers just won’t qualify hart with an rfa offer and that’s where it’ll end for them. They’ll cut their losses. Sad but it appears they all did something stupid and got caught.

I don't even know why you and MB brought the legal angle up. Feanor was clearly using 'rape' in the colloquial sense.

And if you know what's been alleged it clearly crosses the threshold for rape. She was penetrated without consent by multiple players FOR HOURS.

In my opinion in the case where a woman is intoxicated, whether she invites you to do something or not, be a man and protect her, don't take advantage of her. IF Hart and the other 4 players took advantage of her, shame on them; they deserve the consequences regardless of whether the victim is happy with the settlement or not.

Wow, this Flyer's organization has had some really bad luck these past several years. I was starting to think they found the voodoo doll and destroyed it, but now I'm not so sure.

These statements are contradicting. If you presume innocence, then why would you not support him? Maybe Hart has been linked mistakingly? We really don't know anything yet. I admit it does not look good, but I want to see evidence before I withdraw my support.
