Here’s to hoping it’s something personal Carter can overcome. I just wish both he, and the Flyers gave just enough info to dispel the nasty rumors by the HB trolls.
It’s also unfair to the players who have nothing to do with the alleged incident to be under the cloud of suspicion for all these years. Get the damn thing over with!
And thanks Bill!

Regarding Hart, if(!) this is related to Hockey Canada (note, Dube also just took a leave of absence but it may not be related), the whole thing has been dealt with poorly. The timing and lack of appropriate transparency is unfair to any victims 1st. then players. Then families, teams, agents, fans, etc. |

Could have been three if Cam had finished that gorgeous cross ice feed... Frosty was on beast mode all game long. |

It has been handled badly. As I posted yesterday, Dube is on leave and it’s been stated that it’s for mental health reasons. It happened 2 days ago as well so not at the same time and you’d think it would be. Further, I think what would happen is that the nhl would announce the results of the investigation and suspend the players involved pending resolution. The NHLPA would be involved etc.

That was a tremendous feed through sticks that set up Atkinson with a gaping net to shoot at. All he had to do was lift the puck. Should've been a goal. |

The difference in this game was the Tampa PP, they are just unstoppable. The way they attack the zone, the clarity of purpose, and skill, it's just a perfect PP. I hope Torts shows video of the PP goals from Tampa last night to the team this morning, because that is what the Flyers need to strive for. Sure, the Flyers don't have the talent Tampa does, but the mindset in the way Tampa attacks, the quick passes, the one timers, the movement. These things the Flyers can work on adopting. How many times do we see the Flyers hesitate to shoot, or need to settle the puck before shooting, or instead of attacking the slot area just whipping the puck around the boards? Even though the PP has been scoring lately for the Flyers, I still think their overall mindset has to improve, and Tampa is a great example to study. |

That booking penalty Atkinson took was a back breaker. Guy like that can’t be taking a blatant dumb penalty like that. Others would be glued to the bench. |

I think he would be but he is putting up points and Tip is out. I do think without that, Torts would glue him to the bench for a bit. |

From Bills NHL.com story:
"After receiving a cross-seam pass out from Frost, Drysdale (PPG, second of the season and first as a Flyer) measured an open wrister from above the right circle and found the net."
But to me, it looked like Cirelli had the faintest of deflections. The pucks flutters a bit and fooled Vasi. Am I wrong? |

Does anyone know if frost has more phantom points than actual points?
Having Cates and RP with less than 10. GH at 10, Laughton 11 just wont cut it. So gonna be interesting if they let it just play out with what they have or give up some mid rd picks or B level prospects to bring in any forwards.
If your about the "big" picture you sell sell sell. Walker Seeler RP Laughton are 4 guys you100% move. Will the coach/co-gm1 do that?
Surpised Ollie got 11 minutes. Will that continue?
RR with the least amount of minutes yet again. Go back to 6 dman.
Phil Myers looked good in his 6 minutes I must say |

I do not thin kit is WJC related. Just my own opinion. When he was sick last month did they ever say what it was or what not? |

I thought the Flyers were easy to play against last night. They stayed with it on the offensive end and stayed in the game, but I thought they played a passive game in general. Kucherov had a smirk on his face most of the night and the only guy that touched him was TK. Hit the Russian cause it pisses him off like it does Igor of the Penwhines. That PK looked like a throwback to years gone by last night. Way too passive. |

Yeah, there was no reason for him to do that in his own zone. |

It’s an investigation. It takes as long as it takes. My understanding is that this investigation is driven more by the need to address long running misuse of public funds (to hide bad/illegal behavior by players and staff), by Hockey Canada, then it is about this one incident. Hockey Canada already settled with the girl who was assaulted by the team Hart was on. I think there was a lot of public pressure to restart the investigation after information leaked out pointing to the guilt of some players and the fact that public funds were, and have been for years, used to coverup multiple incidents. As public outrage grew people looked more into the incident and found that police work had been pretty shotty. It looked like everyone pretty much just swept it under the rug to protect the players/Hockey Canada. That’s my understanding, at least, of why they are now doing a second, much more thorough, investigation. |

Game on the road tomorrow. Friend of mine who works at the LCA told me Kane has missed multiple games and it was reported (according to him) Kane hasn’t even seen a doctor yet as of last Sunday. If there was ever a game to win before facing Boston, Thursday would be it. |

Amazing that the littlest guy on the team is the meanest guy on the team. He seems like the only Flyer player who both has skill and is physically aggressive. |

The investigation is complete. An independent panel investigated and gave their findings to Hockey Canada back in the fall. In their view several players were in violation of the bodies code of conduct. At that time before their more complete findings were to be made public there was an appeal made to the findings. That process was to begin a while back.
As far as the police involvement they have the report and feel that 5 of the 8 that were involved could rise to the level of criminal charges. A major problem is the female involved has moved on with her life and wants no part of this.
Until that portion is resolved or the report is changed (pending the appeals process) or released its status quo.
At this point I think it’s unfair to suggest this is what the issue is with Hart. It obviously does not look good or paint him in a positive light. But until the facts are released I’ll reserve judgement.
All I’ve ever seen with Hart is a solid young kid who has grown into a very good NHL player. |

The best was Kucherov saying something to TK on the bench and Him shrugging it off like “who me?”. |
