I continue to be astonished by the fact that actions are being taken as a result of the investigation after being continuously assured NOTHING would happen. Just canât believe it
Dude it's not me saying it, it's the dictionary, but you make your own conclusions.
"The San Jose Sharks are believed to be the first NHL team to host a Pride-themed game, when they hosted an âLGBT Nightâ on March 30, 2011, against the Dallas Stars."
But yet over a decade later, everyone is just now woke? - Flyerz74
No you misunderstand. Pride night is not woke. The nhlâs reaction to pride night fiasco was woke.
Itâs an illogical reaction to cancel pride night things like jersey because 1 guy wants to exercise HIS RIGHT to not wear the jersey. Who gives a (frank) about the 1 guy? Exercising his right? Itâs a nothing burger. The ACTION of nhl is the problem and woke. They were woke that this brought attention they didnât want that was illogical.
The logical thing wouldâve been to continue as always as simple state that they both support players and pride night and decision to wear pride jersey (or whatever) and ALSO support players right to NOT wear jersey.
Ignorant doesnât mean action. Itâs not only the thought process being illogical more importantly itâs the actions.

DB's presser was good, I do believe what he is saying, not making any moves at TDL to make a run, not going to make trades to make trades, they will see what the market offers. Asked "trading someone from the room, are you concerned the room will see that as not supporting them", DB, I am not everybody knows where we are as a franchise, all moves will be made with an eye towards to the future.
However, I don't think wokism or the term, applies to this situation at all. - MBFlyerfan
Iâll admit I tend to throw that word around kinda loosely. What I meant more or less was in regards to how the whole situation was already dealt with involving players.
The investigation into hockey Canada is and should be completely SEPERATE issue. Yet itâs not and is a side note now and makes zero sense. It should be the other way around. An enigma within an enigma this whole thing is.
Again , whatâs woke about the current situation with these five players? Go ahead. Tell me how theyâve been railroaded by pride night woke freaks in the London Ontario Police.
Very smart guy here. Howâs your DeAngelo jersey?? - FloHaake
The only way I can explain it to simplistic terms is the logical rage into Canada hockey was use of slush funds and the arrogance when caughtâŚ.
The. Investigation into that being illogically turned and focused on player incident that was already dealt with to the satisfaction of the victim who wants no part in this investigation.

What exactly are the actions being taken by the investigation? I havenât seen or heard of any. Please enlighten me to just one action ?
And I forgot to add the absolute disgusting fact that the nhl profits and markets itself as game for all etc etc etc. then does poop like that. - Stayin alive
the nhl is a game for all who can afford it. They always leave that part out.
i swear to god if MM ends up being Messier my head will explode. they don't refer to him as a player in the video posted. might need to change the name of the leadership award
edit: ok he's a senior employee of Nike canada apparently?

if you watch the video they say it's an older gentleman that was a senior employee at Nike Canada. not a player.
