He's had an off-season in Calgary but hasn't exactly been put in a situation to succeed there either. Better line mates in Van should help him huge.

It would be nice if he had a quick turnaround and Van can resign him at a low price.

Either way I like that this signals they are all in this year

Plugging Pods into the top 6 and replacing Aman with Suter as 4C could be an option.
If Podkolzin could play that strong forecheck role that PDG did at the start of the year.

Also could consider using Lindholm as a 3C

If we can hold top spot and play a Nas, St lou, Sea, in Rd 1 while Dal v Edm, VGK, Col happens, I like or chances in Rd 2.

Substantial production progression in his DY and D1 season.

It's not all that common to explode like this in a D1 season (based on where he was when drafted) but most of the ones that do this have gone on to play at least 100 games in the NHL.

Rasmus Sandin is a very similar case.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is they've cleared 5.5 mill in cap space for next year.

Cap space is King.

Unless they just give it to Zadorov.

He's going to play in the NHL for sure, but I wonder if he would've been a Rathbone like case in Van where they already have their offensive D and there's no room
