Rathbone couldn't round out the rest of his game to make him an everyday player, isn't lighting up Wilkes-barre either.

Comparable with Sandin is pretty good. High offence, not a great skater, lacked in defence department. Sandin has turned into a decent D, playing 22 minutes a night in Washington this year.

Elias Lindholm, reportedly acquired by VAN, is a two-way scoring centre. He's an off-puck player, specializing in getting open for high-danger looks rather than spending a lot of time with possession himself. Needs to play with strong passers and puck-movers to excel. #Canucks

Like Sandin, except not very good… so maybe not much like him.

I had suggested an audition for a top 6 player that wasn't on the current roster previously which was met with a lot of "no thanks" by many.

Yup, and they did. He was a 4th round pick with offensive ability, that the Canucks were sorely lacking.

Now we can match up down the middle against any squad. This is a playoff match up trade to counter the Coilers big 2 down the middle. And if they go McD and and Drai on 1 line, they will get run over by depth.
