It would take Goodrow in it, but what about Hertl? Thats a long commitment but we’d have center locked up for years. Just saw something that’s he’s “disgruntled”. That was a very odd re-sign to begin with. Didn’t make much sense

If its 1 for 1 with 50% retention on Lindholm, I dont think anyone would complain about that.

Huberdeau has a similar game to Kakko right now. Too slow to be a play driver. Too slow to find open passing lanes. Lindholm is great in the corners and fighting for pucks in the slot, but having only Mangiapane or Sharangovich to get the play to the promised land is a bad formula. Especially for a first line and the matchups that come with it.

Give him a line that actually puts the opposition on their heels, and he'll be back to form. He'll play anchor in the defensive zone and make sure that the breakout is handled responsibly.

Add that to a neurotically slow power play, and you get his production this season. Andersson runs the first power play unit from the point and always takes way too long to move the puck. Theres lots more but that's the jist.

So the problem isnt Lindholm.

If we were to get Tarasenko and Lindholm, PP2 would have a nice new look. They'd almost have to play them. Plus this current PP has gotten stagnant and they need a new look.

Was very upset we didn’t claim him, FOR FREE last year. Another Drury blunder. Would be a very Drury move to now give up assets to get a guy we could’ve gotten for free.
