Knicks are one legit scorer away from being a legit contender.

I think they should get one but they’re already contenders.

Playoffs, absolutely… for a chip, not quite. I think theyll definitely frustrate teams and win a couple games against the big dogs but Im not sure they can take 4 games vs Philly or Boston. However theyre definitely looking a lot like the Pistons of the early 2000s.

I never said that it can or cant be done with one trade. My argument is that you dont trade young studs for plugs. Regardless of how people feel about Kakko, he is a fully capable NHL player. The fact that people cant get over the fact that he hasnt lived up to his full potential of a 2nd overall pick is irrelevant. People are bitter, and no one on the Rangers organization nor Kakko really care what expectations you set for him. His offensive numbers suck, but his defensive ones dont. We always say, "watch us trade Kakko and in the hands of another coach/training staff he will go off". Yet we sit here and berate him. If thats the mindset you have, then he clearly doesnt suck and the everyones issues are directed in the wrong place.

Just peeked into Ottawas blog and asked about Tarasenko and im not so sure he’ll waive. Someone mentioned his family loves it up there so he may want to stay. Sooooo that would suck

Could be why the Vatrano rumors are out there

So you want edge and want to get rid of one of the few who bring it? Lol. He’s 25 yrs old. He’s got one more contract in him
- Slimtj100

Unfortunately he’s just not big enough to play the type of game he plays. He takes some big hits and has missed a decent amount of time already. I’m not sure committing to him long term at the money he’s going to get it worth it.

I get what you’re saying, but I’d be surprised if they traded him. To me it’s a little early to do that, 4 years is the max. Then he hits UFA and goes somewhere else. I know he’s having a bad year so it’s leaving a bad taste in peoples mouth

Miller has been a space cadet, Lindgren is still max effort, the results just haven’t been there like they have in years past. But one has to wonder, with ALL the dmen looking worse than previous years, is it them or the coach/system? We still last against the rush?

If they make necessary moves and fix the forwards everything will look a lot better. They’ll have the puck more, give up less chances, hopefully get more key saves, and just having better players in general will help a lot. The roster/injuries have really made everything look worse all season. I’m in the minority with this too lol

All star games are disasters for goalies, but looks like Igor let in 6 goals on 20 shots between the 2 games. Probably not great for the confidence

Its gotta be a little bit of both. We know the coaching and system works because of how the year started. We also saw when they started losing games they began reverting back to what they did for the last 4 years. Makes you wonder why…

All of the rangers defense have had some real rough stretches. Fox has been the best but struggled early after coming back from injury. Miller and Schneider the worst.

Lindgren just makes you think you can’t overpay in term or AAV bc he’ll wear out. This has been he worst year by far

With Mika disappearing along with no production from the bottom 6, Igor slumping, PP failing and the loss of both FC and KK, it took a toll on the team.

Lets hope hey come out of the break with clear heads and this past month has just been a slump. Season isnt over by any means.

Too many things happening all at ones. A lot to handle. The Mika thing is very concerning. The Igor thing is kinda not surprising, he tends to have his mental breakdowns every year. This one is a long one though.

I thought he looked really good in the final game. Made some big saves.
