Pretty much everyone has called out Mika by now. It’s clear he needs a better RW, like he always has had when he was REALLY good. It’s a point that falls on blind eyes.
Whether Buch, Vatrano, Tarasenko…he’s always produced like an all star. This year he hasn’t because his RWs suck. Where I have a problem with him is his PP shot has just been off all season - Slimtj100
True its not Mika, its his RW but on the only on PP his shot has been off. Makes so much sense. |

Just look at his 5 on 5 stats before this year
It’s literally staring at you deep into your eyeballs |

I agree he needs a better RW, but the Kakko had good numbers, just no production. Plus, I am not one that puts all the onus on the RW spot and believe he has played up to his talent level, because he hasn't. |

He’s not even having a terrible year, he’s damn near a point per game. He just isn’t having a massive year like he’s had before. The pandemic season was probably his best, I think that was with Buchnevich on his RW. Not picking on Kakko, but he doesn’t fit that lines style of speed. They need a faster guy with them, same problem they have with Wheeler. Zib and Kreider are probably the fastest two forwards we have
Duclair should probably be a target for them if you look around for any rentals that fit that mold for them. If they can’t get Tarasenko |

This is Drurys problem, no urgency. You can’t find a way to give Pool Party a tryout at least? I know we make of him, but ain’t no way he’s worse than some of these guys we’ve been playing every game. He’s probably the perfect 4th liner- big, fast, defensive.

Jack Drury for Kakko... thoughts? Offensively, nothing special, defensively... pickles chart should be lit up green. |

I just saw an interesting trade from a Canes fan…
((Not my idea lol))
Jack Drury and Phillys second rder (so maaaybe a decent pick)…
For Kakko.
It’s amazing how we passed on him, simply amazing. Head scratcher of all time |

I saw that too lol
I’d do it because it has a pick with it. You talking about the canes fan?
His offense has taken a giant leap this year. Being its Carolina makes it not happen probably, but that may be one of the better trades I’ve seen for both teams benefiting |

Imagine a left side of
Zadorov 6’6 250
Xhekaj 6’4 240
Stanley 6’7 230
I don’t care about the charts, this will never happen, but one can hope haha. |

(frank) no do not trade kakko in the division if you trade him at all. Don’t wanna live with that poop for his career |

But Kakko is so bad, who cares where he goes? Hes apparently slow as mud and barely an NHL player. If anything getting a defensively superb Drury and a draft pick would be a steal for Kakko. We should be running to the bank laughing while we watch the Canes try to make something of him. Meanwhile we know we made them worse while we made ourselves better. |

You didn’t say this?
“I am not at all opposed to this. The problem may come if Drury fumbles the ball in NY and gets fired and how Jack would handle that.”
Everyone can hate me idgaf, Kakko is slow as poop and it shows. Sorry |

This was sarcasm.
So many here are unhappy with Kakko, come up with all sorts critiques in his game.
However trade him to a division rival in a deal that potentially makes us better? Absolutely not. People dont seem so confident in their opinions of Kakko anymore. |

We could’ve joked about it (I legit thought it was funny we saw it the exact same time), but you decide to lie about it instead. Cool cool |

He likes the trade lol but because I like it he won’t be associated with it because I’m the devil (saying Kakko is slow)
I betcha that’s why he’s on the block as a matter of fact |

Let me be a bit more clearer on this.
I would trade Kakko for Drury and a 2nd round pick.
Young player for young player, Drury looks like the kind of player that could find himself getting Selke votes. Sure we make make an already thin RW situation thinner, however we close the hole we have at 3C, while also gaining another 1.3m in cap space.
However... pretty much everyone here rags on Kakko. But those same people who rag on him and are so critical of his play want nothing to do with trading him to a division rival. People are so confident in how crappy Kakko is until he get traded to a division rival. |

Backtrack, backtrack (sing it like Dora)
So you forgot the canes were in the metro?
With me I realize the UFA rental market for RW is more plentiful AND cheaper to obtain. While center, we’ve seen already, cost an arm and a leg. If they trade Kakko it should be for a center (non rental-preferably RFA status), and if happens to be Drury, I’d take it and run and dont look back.
We can recover even he does blossom elsewhere. We have four top 4 wingers if you look ahead anyway and 2 more that could potentially be top 9. Or Chytil would move to RW.
I saw someone mention mittlestadt, who’s another id trade him for. Turcotte, frost, a few others. Imo that’s the direction we should go and not worry about the team he’d go to |
