There will be no third team. - aecliptic
We’ll see. It kind of benefits them and another team.
You aren’t willing to give a up 4th to do it? If we’re not then what the hell are we doing here
3.9>2.4 is a big difference right now |

Teams aint dumb, theyll make the Rangers pay for it. Its not a very favorable market this year. |

Nah. It’s the going rate every year. Maybe it’ll change but it’s not much more then that
It doesn’t prevent them from getting another guy I’ll give you that, but it allows him to pick from more options which gives Drury some leverage. See what happens. Two teams won’t help we know that, Mtl and CBJ. So that does limit it a bit.
But just a thought, TB could do something like that if you think about it. They really need to gather some picks and they have plenty of cap space now. Or even this, suppose we give them Gus and they take on 25% of Tarasenko for us. Because chances are we get a defenseman anyway, and TBH the Gus luster has worn on me for the most part. He’s very soft defensively and we already have some soft guys back there as it is
My wheels are turning, apologies 😬😔 |

Wow Id love to see the gears turning inside your head when you think of these trades. No team does another any favors. If a team needs picks and prospects, they arent taking Gus for helping us out. |

Generally how a trade works is two teams usually benefit from it. Thats the idea lol
Hey you lost Sergachev, hey we need cap space..hmmm let’s call Steve Staios… is about the extent of the conversation |

Again, the idea of trading Gus to a conference rival is asinine. On top of the fact that we will need to replace Gus, likely with someone worse than him. |

Im not particularly fond of Gus as the 3LD. However, wouldnt finding a more expensive replacement and asking retention from them be the same exact net result, WITHOUT helping a conference rival.
Why the fk are we helping Tampa? Did you forget what Gus was doing in the absence of Fox? Now put him next to Hedman, out there with Stamkos, Point and Kucherov.
I feel like leading up to the deadline, you have this drug-like induced psychosis. Where depth of thought escapes and you just need a hit so bad. You'll do anything to do it. Consequences be damned. |

Like trading Miller for a rental type of psychosis?
Dude look in the fkin mirror man
Gus is an asset. We could probably fleece TB with more than just being a 3rd party trading him there. They just lost a top 4 LHD for the season and barely have any picks to trade for anything else or better
Suppose they gave us Motte and a 3rd for Gus because of desperation?
Doesn’t a 4th line of Motte JBrod Vesey tickle your pickle?
But OMG the horror of TB getting Gus..the world is in fact ending |

Look in the mirror? You came on here and said that you SWORE, you'd never make another trade proposal. Since then you've probably done a dozen. I havent. I like what I like, I like who I like. Im good there.
1. Im not trading in the conference.
2. Hanifin is a better defenseman right now than Miller.
3. People here were incredibly unhappy with Miller's play, so I gave them something to think about.
I bet Sergachev wasnt even wheeled off the ice before you slapped your arm and got your next fix for a trade. |

No, it doesnt because that means Goodrow is on the 3rd line. |

Nope, goodrow is in a suit waiting for the boys in the lockerroom. At some point they will realize he can’t play regularly anymore because it’ll make them better on the ice. Same with Wheeler |

I wonder if callups during the playoffs affect ELCs and eligibilities and stuff like that. - aecliptic

Because if he makes the leap to the pro's I feel like he will spend his first year in the AHL unless he makes it impossible for them to not call him up. He needs to put on a little more weight. |
