LAF and Panarin the only real noticeable players from the top 6.
That injury to Sergachev is as definitely as bad as it looks. Looks like his ankle is broken. |

I think we’re getting closer with laf. Scoring more I mean. He’s getting chances galore and once he starts picking corners like the OT goal they’ll go in. If this team gets Tarasenko and the PP cooking again we’ll be real hard to beat. Lots of ifs, but not impossible ones to hope for.
Really feels like they haven’t done any trades because of the Tarasenko thing where they have to wait. Then they immediately sign for 2-3 years when the deal gets done. Also have to wonder if the chychrun rumors could be true too, not sure you saw that one. We’d get both guys for Kakko ++ |

Pretty crazy to see. Laf has definitely taken a big step this year and will continue to get better.
Edit - not sure if the link works for everyone so I’ll explain. It says Laf has more even strength points than the following:
Byfield - Rossi - Kaprizov - Caufield - Nichushkin - Hertl - Couturier - Zib - Suzuki - Hischier - Vatrano - Cirelli - Lindholm - Eberle - Stamkos - Connor - Zucc
PP time will inflate his stats like most of the guys on this list |

It’s a great point. PP time always makes guys look better than other guys. Where is Stutzle?
Imo, Laf will easily hit a point per game eventually, can he ever get to 100 is the question |

I know this is in your area of expertise, but the way he grabbed at his knee, I suspect no break in the ankle.

Just watch his ankle...particularly in that side view. Not good at all. I think he just grabbed at his leg and we took it as his knee.

Not sure Vlad wants to comeback to NY and there is no way they trade KK for Chychrun. They need center help badly and KK is our only real trade chip with value, even though most dont think so. With Chychruns injury history, the Rangers should just stay away. |

6 point cushion again on Carolina, and they play Colorado tonight, who should be ornery after losing to the Rangers and Devils |

You may very well be right. I don't even play a doctor on TV!
I did actually focus on his knee when I saw it. Haven't watched it again. |

You never know. Odds are your right, but there's also a chance that he turfed his agent again because the agent wanted him to wait for free agency to cash in again, but Vlad is willing to risk taking less and waive his NMC to be back in NY for the playoffs. We'll know soon enough.

It was reported all summer he wanted to come back to New York, His family loved it. But rangers didn’t have the money. I am confident if the senators asked him to waive to come back he would accept |

He may even meet them in Chicago, isn’t feb 9th a year since the trade? The whole retention rules thing is passed then. Could be the 10th |

I think it was just an obligatory reach for the leg and not specifically the knee. If you watch again, and I dont know why you would you sick bstrd , you can see his toe pick the ice and as he comes down on his leg the ankle eventually gives way and snaps at the every end. |

Was it actually reported? Or just speculated? I think everyone all along from the day of the trade knew that it wasn't happening due to our cap situation. |

I did not watch it a second time, and probably won't! I used to have no problem with that sort of stuff, but I've softened over the years, I guess. |
