Because if he makes the leap to the pro's I feel like he will spend his first year in the AHL unless he makes it impossible for them to not call him up. He needs to put on a little more weight.

Why is it so certain that the top producer in college hockey is 2 years away
- picklerick

1) He is underweight by at least 20 pounds and needs to become stronger

2) He needs to work on his skating

College hockey is ruthless, far more physical and demanding than Canadian juniors where defense is not mandatory however appreciated. If a kid can put up 43 points in 26 games as a freshman in college, Id venture a guess his skating is pretty good.

I wonder if Buffalo would be willing to dangle Casey Mittlestadt as trade bait.

Considering how the market is right now for centers, that would be hella expensive. Hes in the mittel of a career year.

Pretty good skating only gets you so far in the NHL. I've seen him play in person, his edge work needs refinement. He is looking to be a helluva player, certain things simply can't be rushed.

Not in the least bit, Canadian juniors is immensely diluted. You have dozens of guys that average a ppg in juniors and achieve nothing in the NHL.

At the risk of beating a dead horse this is exactly what the dreaded prospect charts I posted the other day attempt to do. Normalize across all leagues

72 games in the whl plus playoffs. I watch Victoria Royals lots live and non stop collage on line . I find the CHL way more fiscal than collage.

Look in the mirror? You came on here and said that you SWORE, you'd never make another trade proposal. Since then you've probably done a dozen. I havent. I like what I like, I like who I like. Im good there.

1. Im not trading in the conference.
2. Hanifin is a better defenseman right now than Miller.
3. People here were incredibly unhappy with Miller's play, so I gave them something to think about.

I bet Sergachev wasnt even wheeled off the ice before you slapped your arm and got your next fix for a trade.

I see a NYR rumor with said guy in it, I make a fair trade for him…

I’ll go to hell now

Yea TB should be all over Gus if I were them because they lost one their LHD for the season. And they don’t have enough to get Hanafin, or Tanev or any other big name. If they call, Drury isn’t saying no because Aecliptic said we shouldn’t do an in conference trade. He should listen because Brisebois tends to make dumb trades, does he not? See Tanner Jeannot, I say take advantage of the putz

Tbh honest I’d play Jones over him right now. Hes looked good recently.

Gus should be traded because he won’t be back and we could actually get at least a pick (3rd) for him and probably a 4th liner, or prospect. I brought up TB because they have cap space to burn now, and could use Gus. And they have a poop ton of 4th liners on their team we could use ahead of Pitlick, ie Motte/Essyimont/ABB

Will they trade him probably not because he’s a Lavy guy, but there are plenty of spare 7th D out there

Both things are unclalled for. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a slap shot like that, it’s totally showing up the opponent. Stick to head is just stupid

Irrelevant, were gonna fleece them for a pick. Then Bolts eliminate us in the first round and Gus has the game winner. BUT WE GOT A PICK!
