This may be exactly who Kakko is. A defensive minded top 9 guy who can slide up and down the lineup, play sound hockey, and chip in from time to time. Being cost controlled also helps for the time being. I think being more patient with someone like him may end up paying off, though. Not every players development is the same (obviously), so it may just take more time to see what he can flourish into. Also, I can't see the return wow'ing us being that his trade value is likely low

I’m just really bummed if that’s what he is. I get what you’re saying tho. Lower expectations

Yea the return isn’t going to be great so keeping him is the best option probably

Kakko was over a PPG player prior to being drafted. While Perreault is no doubt producing at the college level, I'm trying to manage expectations with him too. You just never know how these kids are going to transition to playing against men for a full 82 game season + playoffs. I'd love nothing more than to have Perreault come up in two years or so and light it up. But my point is just because hes lighting it up now (like Kakko did prior to being drafted), it doesnt guarantee he'll be a stud in the NHL. Although I pray that he becomes one lol

Even though Boston College lost in the BeanPot to BU , Perrault still scored 2 out of their 3 goals and looks to have a bright future!

I get that and understand its a solid reason to have people excited for his future. I am too. I hope it sustains and transitions to the NHL is all. Wasn't knocking him by any means.

Would we be upset if Gabe turned out to be like Hudler/Gagner?

Love to see this. Just as a devils advocate, who did Kakko play with in the WJC and where are they now compared to who Gabe played with and where they were drafted. The talent around Gabe could be a reason for some additional points. Also, were any of the USA games blowouts where Gabe recorded multiple points? Just some questions at surface level....again not implying that I am not high on Gabe because I am and think he will be a great NHL player

He’s off to a much better start. Othmann looks like he’ll be an NHLer and Cuylle already is. This is literally what visual representation of data is fundamentally for comparing things

I thought laf was noticeable last not and not because of the injury. Swing the boys in Tampa next month. Should be a great game.

He’s gotten flat out robbed more than anyone on the team. Some of that probably from him not picking his spots well enough, but seems like every other game he’s looking up to the sky wondering how it didn’t go in.

Othamnn put up 97 points in the OHL in the 21-22 season and almost 80 the year after. I dont know if I would say Perrault is off to a much better start than how Othmann started

Is anyone here a CPA / Tax or Corporate accountant? I have some questions about setting up an LLC vs. an S-Corp.

Thats what the god forsaken charts try and do. Compare prospects across different leagues. Those numbers are meaningless against NCAA numbers
