It's so nice to actually want to scoreboard watch in the NHL. Pittsburgh lost against last night. Tonight the Rangers and Devils have cupcake games, and I think the Flyers are catching Toronto at a good time, with Rielly suspended and several players sick. Be good to get two points heading into the outdoor game. - jd250
Pittsburgh has games in hand but they are getting dangerously close to being out of it. They need to go on a run very soon. The Flyers spot in the playoffs is looking better and better. Tonight will be a tough game.

I would like to hit the lottery. RR is not tradeable. He says so pretty much about his contract.
It is not a definite by any means they trade walker. They owe it to the "room" to keep him no? that's part of what culture is about no?
so seeler potentially re-signed.
So in other words, the rebuilding team they always talk abut looks like they will not do much in acquiring assets. - hello it's me 2050
I 100% agree. I am in "believe it when I see it" mode in terms of the rebuild. This is especially true if Risto is out longer than a few weeks. No way Walker gets traded if Risto is out past the deadline or possibly into the playoffs. I do not believe Laughton will get traded this season.

Personally I see another year where fans over hype themselves up hoping for this big bang trade that just isn't going to happen, so they get disappointed and complain...which is what they really want is to complain.

Indeed. Flyers haven't won in Toronto since October of 2019. |

the organization has stated rebuild ad-nauseum. So it will be a disappointment if they do not do anything to back that up. Or do you disagree? |

The fact is people will complain no matter what, that's what complainers do.
No trade...see they are not in a rebuild!
Trade...they didn't get enough or whoever they get sucks.
Trade...why did they trade them they should trade who I think they should trade and get what I think they should get.
Blah blah blah

Seems as though you are complaining about the complainers. While the fans as a whole may not be qualified to execute what is needed to be done. They're certainly qualified to know the general purpose of what needs to be done. They've also sat through the dysfunction of this team, some for a long time. That certainly gives them the right to complain if they don't get a sense that the team is going to adopt the right approach. |

As long as they don’t spend assets to acquire anyone for a playoff push and, instead, go with what they have, that would still be consistent with what they’ve said regarding looking to the future.
I’ve said from the beginning if we keep playing this way they aren’t going to gut the room going into the post season. It sucks Risto is hurt - we could've had our cake and ate it too |

I don't agree. Since he is already wearing an A, it would be insulting to just gloss over that fact by not including him in the "festivities".
I think we are making too much out of it. Laughton may or may not be traded, but I don't think the announcement affects that one way or the other. IMO it is just out of respect for an already existing situation. - MBFlyerfan
