No, it's a multi-topic blog with a Frost section. I have not, in fact, specifically devoted a lot of blog space to Frost in two months. Actually , today's blog is much more about the coaching staff than Frost.

Don't like it? Don't read it. Or skip the Frost item.

Vinny Prospal should be the power play coach next year.

Oh and I find your analysis of Torts shows the complexity of the man, also you are one of the few bloggers/authors who is not afraid to show the coach's warts. See you in Tampa. I'll be the only person on the planet wearing a Prospal 45 Flyers jersey.

PP will cost us dearly in the stretch run. Forget about going far in playoffs without a viable PP.

We had one of the best net front guys in JVR and didn't use him on PP enough. Not sure if that comes down to "coaching?" We simply don't have enough talent to have a respectable PP.

Bobby Clarke used to say that you want your special teams to be a combined 100%. PP is letting us down.

I'm glad he chimed in. I normally sift through pages and pages of pro and anti Frost banter on Bill's blogs. Good for him to add his full perspective as someone close to the team..

It will absolutely cost us moving forward and I think it's a lack of the right pieces as Bill mentioned. Just not enough skill/balance when it comes to the players.

Islanders losing at home in a shootout to a western conference lottery team is a desirable outcome. Albeit less than the others

The metro is just a down division this year

It's coaching also. They don't have the shooters for one timers off he wing or in the bumper. So stop trying to make those plays. Stop passing it around trying to create those opportunities. Set up double screens at the net and get the puck to the net. Simplify the strategy to the personnel.

Are you normally rude to the host when you visit someone? It's Bill's page, where he provides information he choses to provide. I agree with Bill, if you do not like the content, no one forces you to read it.
But being an azzhole to the host is not acceptable.

Agreed. But Flyers are also 10th in the league at this point.

Personally, I think Washington and the Islanders are out of it. Flyers need to be concerned about NJ and the Pens.

Yes. And it might not be sustainable, but they are clearly overachieving this year.

"No, maybe from you [media] guys a little bit,” he said. “I think when I am (using my legs effectively) I can kind of assess myself that way. That’s when I know I am playing my best.”

After Monday's morning skate, Tortorella was asked about Frost. The coach started out by saying there's still some inconsistency with the player -- not every game is his A game -- but he likes the increased assertiveness. He specifically added that he thinks Frost has been attacking through the middle of the ice more effectively and heading less to the perimeter.

That's a fair assessment.

Hmmm ... now I recall someone posting right here on this forum these exact words about Frost multiple times over the past two seasons. I wonder who that was ... OH .. IT WAS ME!

Suck on @MJL .. Suck on it! Even Bill, who is Frost's biggest proponent agrees this is a fair assessment. You Failure is Complete!

Bill, I thought this was a great blog from you today, thank you! I don't agree with you that Torts didn't have to ride Couts in the Kraken game because Couts has been below par IMO for a few weeks now, but I am happy you devoted some words of praise to Torts and his coaching staff!

This isn’t Bill’s house, it’s his job. We’re supporting what he does by being here.
