Love TK, but to me, Coots was the only choice. |

Like I've said previously, I think the whole C thing is overrated but I just wonder, why now? It cracks me up. - MJL
I know your thoughts on this topic but I think it does matter who wears the letters. I don’t know why they decided now but I’m glad they did it and I’m also happy with the selections. |

Couts is the right call. The guy has been playing the hardest minutes and giving his all for this team for a decade. |

I think leadership is important for sure. I just don't think a player needs a letter on his sweater to lead.

I agree the C thing isn't a big deal, but who cares if they have decided to do it now? It's absolutely amazes me that they skipped over you when they had some of these positions available. |

You're doing really well for your credibility. Again, you're acting like a child.

You’re right, every team should just strip the C off jerseys because clearly it has no meaning since it’s a locker room thing and stat-heads can’t see that
If it meant nothing to them then why does EVERY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE still participate in this “archaic” practice?

The “C” is recognition of what the player has been doing all along. It’s an honor, not a requirement. Love seeing Couturier get it on his chest |

Whether people like it or not, sports and emotion are symbiotic. If you ignore the emotion or human element of the game - you’re losing out on what makes sports great, to your detriment.
The day “emotion” is taken out of sports is the day I stop watching. |

When you make a post like you did in reply to me, with zero content. Making zero attempt to genuinely having a conversation. With the simply unintelligent babble that you wrote, it makes you look like a fool. You do that quite frequently. Like I've said to you in the past, if you disagree that's fine. It seems as though all you can do is say that you disagree without content behind it or the juvenile and childish response you made. Your choice. Like I said to you previously. You have a forum here to prove and show I'm a fraud. It's not a threat that I have to be concerned with. You're simply not capable.

it wouldn’t shock me to see the Konecny camp start in the high 10s
High 10's? For TK?
So what..8 years at 10.5 per? $84 million?
He is not worth that. |

You might have repeated what Torts said, but you also leave out all of the positive stuff Frost does. That is my issue with your take.." He's an AHLer", "He deserves to be scratched", " ND deserves to play over Frost", etc, etc...not direct quotes, but the gist of your comments. You claim he is invisible, when he is the most visible guy on the ice....your take is wrong on Frost for the most.
The comment bolded...really? Are you 5?
No one has said Frost plays a perfect game, and he has been critized fairly about certain aspects of his game. However, saying he doesn't belong in the league, judging him shift to shift, instead of a multi game period, and just constantly slamming a skilled player...on a team with limited skill....that is the wrong part of your assessment. - TheFreak
You are completely wrong here .. AGAIN .. and downright lying on top of it. First of all, I NEVER said Frost was an AHLer. What I posted in the first part of last season was I was afraid Frost may be nothing more than an AHLer, BECAUSE of the way he was playing. I was afraid that he may never get what it takes to become a viable NHL player. This is after he sucked under AV, sucked under Mike Yeo, who worked with Frost on a lot of things and deserves some credit here as I am sure Frost would give him, and was failing under Torts. This is FACT, not opinion. If you want to find the post I made about Frost and read the context in which I posted it, have at it, otherwise STFU!
The fact is you don't have direct quotes because they don't exist. For example, I NEVER said ND deserves to play over Frost. What I said is ND is a 4th liner with a specific role on the team, a role that Frost should NEVER be put in. For Frost to be in the lineup, he needs to playing in the top 6 and generating offense. These are two different players with two very different roles. I would expect anyone who watches hockey to understand this, but apparently you are just plain stupid.
And finally, I have posted a ton of positive things about Frost, his speed, his skill, his vision his puck retrieval on the PP, etc, etc. The only criticism I have given Frost this year has been about his consistency, game in game out, shift after shift. I think Torts said it perfectly, "sometimes Frost just does not bring his A game", and unfortunately for Frost given the type of player he is, if he doesn't bring his A game, he is pretty much a non-factor out there.
And BTW, I am calling you names here because 1. they accurately reflect what you are and 2. because you absolutely deserve it. |

Congratulations, Couts. I think the term is overused these days but it was disrespectful he wasn't named captain when he returned from his injury. |
