That pretty much sums up the Leafs, things go their way and one or two dominate and they win games. The problem is when that guy doesn't have it that night.

Absolutely unreal shot and quickness. Now McDavid, MacKinnon and Kucherov all have the potential every year to get 50, to me at least, but also provide more. Now if Matthews was an unthinkable 70-80 goal guy...yeah I would without hesitation add him high in that group.

Those three players have an edge in overall point scoring over Matthews but Matthews is a much better all around player than all three of them. Matthews is one of the best two way players in the NHL. He is a Selke level player away from the puck and a generational goal scorer. His ability to rip the puck hard and accurately is rare. As well as the ability to change the angle and rip it instantaneously is unreal.
