Find it odd they made this announcement before a road game rather than a home game. Doesn’t really matter but you’d think they would make it a home game. |

They’ll be angry that reilley got suspended. First slap shot we take in warmup will start an 87 semi finals scale brawl… I wish. … 😝 |

Maybe. We might just need to ride it out with him. At least he’s a serviceable dman. I just hope that some desperate team comes calling. - Hextall271
In a few years maybe his salary will seem low because of the cap going up so much.

When the cap goes up to 400 million, I'm sure the Flyers will still be up against the cap as usual...

So, when are we gonna start seeing these trade chips sitting for multiple games like we saw last year? Risto in rumors now out for a month so probably not tradable. Will Laughts, Walker, Seeler be rested? Will be interesting to see. It was so ridiculous last year when Chychrun sent for a couple weeks. |

i used to listen to them but i find them unbearable now. Ryan Whitney I can sort of tolerate, when he talks about his family and kids that is sort of relatable. But listening to guys like RA or Biz talk about getting (frank)ed up is...well... lame

I think the issue people have with him is his salary and the assets given up in the trade for him.
I have no issue with his play on the ice. - WhiskeyMan
I never liked the trade itself. It hurts less because Robert Hagg isn’t even in the league anymore but I remember turning on the draft and the pick was gone when it was our turn, I wasn’t happy.
Salary is a different story. The money he’s being paid is pretty much the same as when we got him. Nobody can deny Risto has improved defensively. The problem is, not giving him enough looks on an already bad power play. I’m not saying Risto should be on the power play, I’m saying the contract looks less bad if he’s there and Risto has a history of showing he can produce in that situation.
It’s a disconnect between GM and coach. |

Flyers may catch a break if those guys can't play. - MJL So you already have your built in excuse if the Flyguys happen to pull out a win tonight! Congrats! |

- anti-lame Biz is a total clown. I guess that $hit sells in today's world though.

They tried Risto on the PP earlier this year and to be honest, he didn't look good. Now that Drysdale was acquired and given how good Zamula has look QBing the PP, I really don't see Risto playing on the PP. He does have a good shot but sometimes it's not about how hard your shot is but how often you get the shot through to the goalie. Risto is not good in this area, or I should say, not as good as Drysdale and Zamula. |

Seeler is going to be extended. Walker is as good as gone now that Risto is out, and Laughton is on the fence, but I think leaning towards staying. |

There is a chance that Walker is not moved.

They tried him for one or two games. Rostolainen can play the point on the power play and he can play net front presence. Both he did pretty well with the Sabres and we haven’t had a net front presence all season. On a team that isn’t doing well on the PP and keeps giving struggling offensive players like Laughton and Foerster a chance, I don’t think the Flyers have explored all avenues of the power play.
I think Walker should get another look too. |
