they aint rebuilding. - hello it's me 2050
So if you are right and the Flyers are not rebuilding, then its a reasonable expectation that the Flyers will add players at the deadline, right? |

Or, it might work to our favour....we could trade you TK for Fantilli and call it a day..lol
Just Razing. - TheFreak
He can have Tortorella and Ristolainen also.

I don't get this post. Laughton was already the only player with a letter, so nothing has changed from yesterday to today. Before yesterday, Laughton was projected to be potentially available for the right price, and today nothing has changed. So why is the rebuild cancelled because Laughton still has an 'A' on his sweater? - jd250
you mean stripping the letter off the guy doesn't increase his trade value?

The biggest problem with Zamula is he does not stop plays well and his coverage in the slot area is spotty. He is great with the puck, poised, makes good decisions, but especially on a Torts team, he needs to kill plays more effectively. - jd250
Zamula is a rookie.

possibly not 100% . as always depends on cost and who is available. |

Honestly the only dumb thing at the moment of the trade was the 1st. A 2nd and Haag and it's pretty much whatever for a year.
Then it got worse with the extention. - Pelle31Forever
Never had an issue with the extension. Itâs always been about the trade itself. I donât believe in giving up 1st round picks for role players.
There was always more to squeeze out of Risto, the coaching staff has chosen not to. |

A rebuilding team makes moves to add future assets. A team that stands pat and prioritizes winning and making the playoffs. Is not rebuilding. No matter what they say

Another great interview today from Torts pregame. He evaluated Frost's performance, positively I might add. However I want to ask everyone here to listen and then decide for yourselves who you should believe regarding Frost's performance, those on this site that try to tell you Frost has played awesome since last year or a coach with 723 career NHL wins and a Stanley Cup. I know who I am listening to. |

If you were nearly as smart as you think you are, youâd answer and find out. Last I checked they were teammates last season. |

Exactly. Sure Zamula is seeing sheltered minutes with a bonus of some PP time. He's actually +6 and scoring at a clip that could net him around 30 points for his rookie campaign. Not horrible by any stretch IMO, especially at 12 minutes and change a night. |

Ok, I buy that explanation. So let me ask you this then, you are the GM of the Flyers and since you are rebuilding you want to trade Sean Walker by the deadline. However, to your disappointment, teams will only give you a 3rd round pick for Walker. Do you trade him anyway because you are in a "rebuild"? Or do you weigh the impact of losing Walker and decide to keep him for the season? |

OK:
If the Flyers trade Laughton and Walker (OR Seeler) at the deadlineâŚ.is there any way you can deny the current front office is rebuilding?
That also leaves the offseason, where maybe they also get rid of Atkinson and Risto?
Already got rid of established vets Hayes and Provorov.
ANDâŚAND, if itâs true, donât forget they were an âA-OKâ from Kruger from getting out of Sanheim long term deal.
I fully understand why people might be cautious to get excited about the Flyers brass signaling a rebuild, but there are SO MANY âthey are rebuildingâ/ âlol, what rebuild?â folks. Some fans are so mad they didnât tank or didnât do it their their wayâ youâre not realizing poop be going on?

Eh, I think it can be both. As long as youâre not spending assets. I donât want to give anyone away. I donât think dumping anyone for nothing just because they are over a certain age guarantees positive results.
Hypothetically - letâs say they do keep walker and can move Risto in the summer⌠half your D is young, half are vets. I donât think that signifies that they arenât looking toward the future. Thatâs balance. Will I be mad if Walker goes for a 2nd? No. Will I be mad if you have a Seeler-Walker third pair for a couple years? No. The young guys are getting the bigger minutes in this scenario. Not the end of the world.
If they keep both Risto and Walker than yes, that would be a mistake. Iâd rather lose Risto for next to nothing than Walker. |

You refuse to do yourself any favors jd. There is not a single person on this site that has tried to tell anyone that Frost has played awesome. Tortorella is an unreliable source when it comes to Frost. He is biased against Frost and if he had his way, Frost would've been traded last season. I know who you're listening to. He has you wrapped around his finger and again, it shows how easily influenced you are.
Bring me facts, not rhetoric, or anecdotal evidence. When the facts are presented to you, you either don't understand them or ignore them.
