OK:
If the Flyers trade Laughton and Walker (OR Seeler) at the deadline….is there any way you can deny the current front office is rebuilding?
That also leaves the offseason, where maybe they also get rid of Atkinson and Risto?
Already got rid of established vets Hayes and Provorov.
AND…AND, if it’s true, don’t forget they were an “A-OK” from Kruger from getting out of Sanheim long term deal.
I fully understand why people might be cautious to get excited about the Flyers brass signaling a rebuild, but there are SO MANY “they are rebuilding”/ “lol, what rebuild?” folks. Some fans are so mad they didn’t tank or didn’t do it their their way” you’re not realizing poop be going on? - Wingdestroyer
did they get rid of them because they were rebuilding or were there other reasons?

You gotta use percentages because TDA has only played 23 games 😂 |

Should we start counting the hours of posting? For all the sh!t you give MJL for living here - you are here early and often as well 😂 - anti-lame

Ok, I buy that explanation. So let me ask you this then, you are the GM of the Flyers and since you are rebuilding you want to trade Sean Walker by the deadline. However, to your disappointment, teams will only give you a 3rd round pick for Walker. Do you trade him anyway because you are in a "rebuild"? Or do you weigh the impact of losing Walker and decide to keep him for the season? - jd250
I absolutely trade Walker for the best deal I can get at the deadline. What impact is there?

Exactly. Sure Zamula is seeing sheltered minutes with a bonus of some PP time. He's actually +6 and scoring at a clip that could net him around 30 points for his rookie campaign. Not horrible by any stretch IMO, especially at 12 minutes and change a night. - Pixote Andolini
Zamula has more than held his own. He is a better value on the 3rd pair than Ristolainen is.

the good ole right price. aka we aint trading laughton - hello it's me 2050
So the Flyers should just give away Laughton no matter what the return, after all it's a rebuild! Better yet, why not give away all their players, after all we don't need them, it's a rebuild!
Yes I'm sure you're right. I'm sure that's the thing to do. Wait, I've got a better idea. Lets transfer the whole squad off the base. On second thought- let's transfer the whole Windward Division off the base. John, tell those boys to get down off the fence. They're packing their bags. Tom? Get me the President on the phone. We're surrendering our position in Cuba.

Hayes and Provorov were not moved because the Flyers were rebuilding. It remains to be seen. They have to prove it.

I don't get this post. Laughton was already the only player with a letter, so nothing has changed from yesterday to today. Before yesterday, Laughton was projected to be potentially available for the right price, and today nothing has changed. So why is the rebuild cancelled because Laughton still has an 'A' on his sweater? - jd250
Can't cancel what was never started. |

If it’s a 1st (or even a high second) I agree. If it’s a 3rd or later I don’t think that moves the needle - unless there’s a D in the system knocking down the door. I don’t see anything wrong with seeing what this group can do in the post season. Trading just to trade sounds like bias for action. Make the right deal, not just “a” deal.
If rumors are true about Risto interest in the offseason who would you rather have? Risto or Walker? |

so giving him away is your take from my post?
why cant you accept the flyers very well likely do not want to move the guys they have, therefore set a high price knowing non one will meet it; then can ay we tried but no one offered what we wanted. |

This is the second pers….wha…who…huh!?
Who CARES!!?? They are rid of them to make room for other people on the team. Getting rid of current to get new!!! It doesn’t matter if they did it because they are old, because they were bad, because they were ding dongs in the locker room, or because their pads stunk up the locker room!!
Wow |

WOW, you included them trying to use it as proof that they were rebuilding, did you not? Give me a break! In the context of the conversation it matters. Who cares. LOL. You bring it up then when you get an answer that you don't like, you act like this.
Hayes was moved because he and the coach clashed and the coach didn't like the way he played. Not because they were rebuilding.
Provorov was moved because he and the team mutually wanted to part ways. Not because they were rebuilding. |

For all the talk about Torts devaluing those guys - the evidence should be “how are they doing now? Do I want that on my team?”
Correct assessment by Torts. |
