I absolutely trade Walker for the best deal I can get at the deadline. What impact is there?
- MJL

The impact to the room. To a group of players that are playing their butts off to win each and every game. If Walker is traded for a good return, like a 1st or a 2nd+prospect, I think players in the room can accept that. But if Walker is traded for less than that, I think players will see it as a move that hurts their team, and really doesn't move the needle in a rebuild. Thus if the price is not right, I keep him.

WOW, you included them trying to use it as proof that they were rebuilding, did you not? Give me a break! In the context of the conversation it matters. Who cares. LOL. You bring it up then when you get an answer that you don't like, you act like this.

Hayes was moved because he and the coach clashed and the coach didn't like the way he played. Not because they were rebuilding.

Provorov was moved because he and the team mutually wanted to part ways. Not because they were rebuilding.

There is no impact to the room. There should be a long term vision and a goal. Moving Walker doesn't hurt that. It potentially helps it. Who cares what the players will accept.

Removing older players on a decline to open spots for younger players is absolutely part of rebuilding.

LOL, why are they off the team? Not because they were rebuilding. Neither move is evidence of the team rebuilding.

The Flyers aren’t going to sacrifice the playoffs. Moving anyone right now isn’t smart. I expect changes in the offseason.

It can be both. “We need to get younger. Who stinks? Those 2”

You’re not providing evidence for your side either.

👍

Of course the room doesn’t matter to some people. They aren’t in it and have never been in one.

so giving him away is your take from my post?

why cant you accept the flyers very well likely do not want to move the guys they have, therefore set a high price knowing non one will meet it; then can ay we tried but no one offered what we wanted.

Its clear to me the Flyers would prefer to keep TK, Walker and Seeler, and that they would prefer to trade Risto. I'm honestly not sure how they feel about Laughton. I would think that as much as they like Laughton they would want to trade him.

Watching Torts’ presser. I love the comments he’s making about Frost. Playing more on the inside and less on the outside. Splitting the D and drawing a penalty shot, that’s great stuff. Torts has challenged Frost, Frost looks to be answering the bell. Does Frost play this way if he isn’t being pushed? I think this is a good look on both player and coach.

If they don't move at least one of Walker or Seeler, they're not doing their job.
I'd prefer both. They can replace them in the off season for probably less than they're going to make on new deals. Get some assets. This isn't about this year but typical Flyers will make it about this year.

I understand making a trade that makes you a little worse now but better later on. I’m not interested in making a move that makes you worse now and doesn’t move the needle later. Pretty simple.

Ugh, you're not thinking very clearly. In the context of a discussion of if a team is truly rebuilding, it absolutely matters why. What are you talking about?

Is it because he’s trying to prove he’s not here from 8:30am to 10pm at night every single day or is it because he’s trying to avoid having to answer my very relevant question?

you flat out know how they feel about laughton. otherwise he would have been moved last summer.

wanting to move your 3rd pair 15 minute a night dman is no stroke of genius or revelation.
