I don't get this post. Laughton was already the only player with a letter, so nothing has changed from yesterday to today. Before yesterday, Laughton was projected to be potentially available for the right price, and today nothing has changed. So why is the rebuild cancelled because Laughton still has an 'A' on his sweater?

I just think that if they finally, after not having a captain spreading over 3 seasons, decided to announce the three captains now, I just can't see them trading one of the 3 away a month later. If they were planning on trading Laughton, why not just wait until he is traded, then announce the captains. Would make sense, as they would then have noone with a letter, and a reason to announce the new letter bearers. They are probably sure they are resigning TK, we'll find out in the summer, they have Coots for the next 6 years...stability in the leadership...Laughton is signed for 2 more seasons...I just don't see them trading Laughton after this.

They owe it to the locker room don't you know.

Just another example of taking the human element out of the game. I don’t think adding players and using assets is the right move. The other side of the spectrum is give everyone away and throw this season away. There can be a middle ground of “send it” without doing either. I’m sure they’d appreciate your lack of belief in this team that has over achieved in incredible fashion.
