Honestly hope we dont go spending the 1st on rental players. Young with some term like Andersson or even in a package to get Sarros for net ok fine but just cant afford to waste it on guys who may and likely will walk at season end.

Leafs will be nip and tuck to make the playoffs and giving up prospects and picks won’t help then get past the 1st round, with what they have to offer. But hey, we have great players that get lots of points and that’s all that matters…….as shown, contract after contract.

Saw Cowan against the 67's. Really turned me around. Not sure he will put up elite numbers, but this kid looks like a steal of a 60 point two-way pooplord. Just knows where to go and puts 90% into everything. Plays a lot like Mark Stone with more speed and less elite "whatever the (frank) is going on in Stone's head"

I'd rather this situation than 80% of the teams in the league are in. Grass isn't always greener. Not saying it can't be better on this side but it could be much worse where your best players are Kessel JVR Bozak and Phaneuf, praying to just make the playoffs.
