The cap is projected to rise by 5%/year again so hoping for under $11M seems unrealistic.

The dude never complains while talking to the media, by all accounts is straight up with management about how he feels and what he wants, is on pace to be one of the greatest players in franchise history, and yet you guys make up reasons to complain about him.

Without him the Canucks aren’t even a wildcard team, let alone a first overall team. He’ll re-sign in the summer and go on to become a top five draft pick in Canucks history.


Edit: on the flip side, if traded, you rarely get equal value, but the return would be great futures I’m guessing.
