Thanks Yorko Ono, excellent recap of that turd sandwich for those fortunate enough not to watch it. Long season and our first real slump happening at the end of Feb. Not bad. I agree with Cole. Better now than later.

I think this is where we reap some of the benefits of the excellent Hockey the boys have played to this point. A 4 game skid at this point last year would've been debilitating. Now, it just let Boston tie us for 1st overall. Lot's of buffer to figure it out and the worst part of the schedule navigated. I think they'll iron out the wrinkles in March.

Well that was a really poor effort, but it is what it is, the boys looked tired. 40 goal man Jared McCann with a goal and three assists last night, along with a +3, so glad Benning gave him up for Gudbranson.

I think it's a b it more than that but we'll see. Old patterns are starting to emerge Demko and DeSmith look off...Defense reverting back to last years mess and the 200' game seems to have eluded the forwards since Joshua has been injured lol. Better get out of it soon or it can create a massive spiral over the last 20 games or so. I wouldn't rely on this so called 'cushion' at all when many signs point to this club being in big trouble. But wow McCann sure stuck it to his old team.

Thanks NYN. I agree with Cole, facing some adversity in season is never a bad thing when you've been winning this much. Plus they have to let other teams catch up so they avoid winning the President's trophy

Maybe they the success get to their head a little after the All Star break... just need a solid reset and some tough-love coaching to set things right, which is harder to do when you're bouncing around between cities. Don't know how happy Tocc is with Petey at the moment. Maybe his contract situation is starting to get to him a little, playing more for that than focusing on what needs to be done now.

Yup. When I was a younger cat I was a valet at a Hotel in Calgary where all the teams stayed. I got to see first hand how quickly these guys arrive and then are shuttled out to the next town. It's usually pretty quick with little to no breathing room in between. There's no way in hell it doesn't have a physical and mental toll. I think this is a lot of what Tocchet is trying to get them to fight through and why getting the start we did was and is important.
