So the Avs upgrade their 2C position, keep their D depth and shed close to 8 million in salary next year at the cost of a young injury prone dman who kinda hit a plateau, a salary dump and a likely bottom 1rst round pick.

That’s probably the best pair of trades a GM has made in a very long time.
