I don't know if you're new here, but he has to do this to try and make it look like he has sources and he's ahead of everyone else. If you're really new here, you'll soon see how much of a fraud he is, he posts "rumors" that he pulls out his ass and claims to get them from sources. Most people come on here for entertainment not for any real hockey insight from Ek

Not new here by any means, and I completely get what his end goal is to create a sense of insight that he is a frontrunner for sources, but years ago he used to list who the sources were and now he takes credit for everything. As far as his firsthand content with the "E1-E5 scale" I think we've all seen those blow up in his face numerous times, which is what allows his ego to think he's Bob McKenzie or Philly's own Barry Melrose LOL when he's merely a basement dweller posting for clicks clinging onto the coattails of Weekes and real network insiders with actual sources.

So the Avs upgrade their 2C position, keep their D depth and shed close to 8 million in salary next year at the cost of a young injury prone dman who kinda hit a plateau, a salary dump and a likely bottom 1rst round pick.

That’s probably the best pair of trades a GM has made in a very long time.

to be honest, i think hes not trying to claim to be the frontrunner. i think age is getting to him and too lazy to update the sources column, and its just defaulted to himself when he posts ‘rumors’

Nope. This is exactly why they traded him. They have young talent in the pipeline and they couldn't give him 2c money to play 3c.
