what would be considered a good swap after the Hanifin deal??? Hanifin is pretty much worth all of Vegas’ good picks and prospects, which they only have a couple, they literally don’t have enough valuable assets

If McCrimmon was crazy enough to offer a dozen elite prospects and his next 10 first round picks to Pitt for Guentzel, that Foley ownership group would be stupid enough to authorize it.

they would be that stupid but Vegas literally doesn’t have any Elite prospects, Brisson and Edstrom are their best prospects and both are kinda meh with middle 6 potential

Yeah, I know. I was just pointing out that the Vegas owner seems more than willing to give up crazy futures to win now.

Who do they have defense wise that we'd want? Hanifin I guess...

My guess is their ability to utilize LTIR to circumvent the cap and get all the good players for all their bad players.

League need to penalize teams that use ltir until the playoffs. If team is using ltir as a way to stay under the cap the player on ltir should no be allowed to play until game 3 or 4 of a playoff series. Or submit a roster for the playoffs that are under the Reg season cap.

Not like Vegas is the first team to do so. Why would this one be worse than what TB did?

The league has had several years to close the loophole if they wanted to. For whatever reason they don't. As much hate as Vegas gets for using LTIR money, they didn't play a single game in the playoffs over the cap in their cup run last season. If they make the playoffs this year they are likely to though.
