I get Florida, Edmonton and Boston interest but why NJ? They don't need a 33yr defenseman when they are not even making the playoffs this year. They should be looking to sell off "older" pieces then adding them.

Because Ek had the whole “Markstrom & Hanifin package deal” scenario he made up. And in imaginary Hockeybuzz world, once you’re fake interested in a defenseman, you’re fake interested in ALL available defensemen.
