Missed the game last night and wow am I glad I did. At least I didn’t miss anything worth watching. Hopefully this was just one of those perfect storms of a game. From what I’ve read and lowlights I’ve seen looks like Ersson didn’t play well, the refs were extra surly, the Flyers somehow didn’t have enough D in the lineup, and the outcome was essentially not in doubt after 10 minutes.

For those that missed Tort's performance last night. I hope the NHL steps in and suspends him for refusing to leave the bench.

I hope the officials are suspended as well. They were pathetic. Three calls…. none of them penalties and an unbelievably quick trigger finger. That’s more embarrassing.

If you don’t like the guy, that’s fine. There was a hell of a lot more going on than this, that made this game embarrassing. Torts has very right to be upset.

Something always seems to go down in Tampa. Was it embarrassing when Tampa refused to forcheck, so the Flyers refused to play?

You know I'm not a Tortorella supporter. I hope the guy is fired as soon as possible. Not due to his performance this season overall but due to I think he is the wrong coach for the future of this team. That's no secret. It's hard for me to comment on what happened because I missed the first period. Didn't see the penalty calls. If he feels his team was screwed, with how his team overall has played for him. I support his standing up for his players. Even if he took it to an extreme as that's what Tortorella does with everything.

I wish he would have dug in even more and REFUSED to leave the bench!! I wonder what would have happened? Would security have been called in to remove him? Come on Torts, next time just effing refuse to budge!! I thought it was hilarious!! People are such cupcakes these days! I mean, back in the day the pissed off coach would have started throwing sticks and $hit on the ice before he left. I think Lavy might have done that before. Who cares? In the heat of the moment $hit happens.

Regardless of what has happened in the game...cussing on live tv, yelling at the refs like that, acting like a baby...

For god sakes...the Flyers didn't show up. Tampa was pissed about the last time we played them, we embarrassed them. They did it to us this time. They were completely outplayed in the first period (Ersson was pulled after 4 goals and 15 shots, at the 11 minute mark of the first), and to me, the penalties weren't fictional, they were in line with what is called in the NHL these days. Hathaway's penalty was a bush league move, trying to spark a fight inbetween play. That should have been a penalty.

To me it went down like this. The refs flubbed the announcement on the penalty to Attard, at first announcing it was Tampa for 2 minutes for tripping. After a ref huddle, they corrected the call to it being a Philly penalty for tripping. The 2 Flyers sandwiched the Tampa player, causing him to fall to the ice, and the puck was well ahead of the incident. When they reversed the call to it being a Philly penalty, Torts lost his shlt. When Tampa scored on the ensuing PP, he went over the top.

He fully deserved to get kicked out, and was an embarrassment to the NHL and the Flyers with his performance.

Reminded me of the time he stormed the Flames locker room as coach of the Canucks. He crossed a line, and showed utter disrespect to the officials.

Actually, Andy Strickland was on Sirius/XM NHL Network Thursday afternoon. He is good buds with Berube. They were talking about Berube on TNT the night before. Then Strickland mentioned that Berube wants to get back into coaching next year and that Philly was a possibility. He mentioned that Torts would move upstairs and Berube would be brought in to coach. Jonesy is also good buds with Berube from their playing days.
