To be honest...NO. I actually have not been impressed with his game lately. He has been very very sloppy with the puck and if he isn't scoring he is probably gonna hurt the team at some point.

I liked the signing when it was done cause I think he has the potential to be a 40 goal guy in this league, but I think his game has fallen off a cliff lately and that causes me trepidation. He has lots of work to do. However, he's a very good skater and engages physically on a regular basis.

On January 26th when that deal was signed, you thought he had 40 goal potential and now just about a month or so later, you no longer feel that he has that anymore?

I absolutely still think he has that potential, but it just seems lately he is really fighting it. Just sloppy as hell with the puck and giving it away on bad places on the ice, and he hasn't been scoring lately. I totally believe that he will score 40 in a season, but he has lots of work to do in other parts of his game.

It's not complicated at all. I asked you a simple question. It took you 4 or 5 posts to make up your mind whether Tippett had top 6 potential. Now that we've finally cleared that up.

You also posted that you don't think that Frost has top 6 potential. As Bill posted. Since the 22/23 season, when Frost was moved off of the 4th line, in the same amount of time, Frost has scored at a rate of 0.66 points per game. While Tippett in the same time has scored at 0.67 points per game. Also pointing out that in that time frame, Frost has steadily improved defensively, while Tippett remains a defensive liability away from the puck.

Why does Tippett have top 6 potential and Frost doesn't?
