I’m interested to see how Solderblom performs tonight. LA mentioned he’s working with some goals for a change. During the last game there seemed to be a huge confidence boost amongst most of the team, does that confidence rub off on Soderblom.
With Kurashev’s improvement driving the play and more consistent ability to cash in on Bedard’s passes, not to mention him finally finding Bedard in open ice, I’m hoping teams stop the double and triple teaming against #98.
Looking for a tight win tonight. 4 - 2

We'll see. The problem is that the Hawks tend to struggle quite a bit with larger /heavier teams. Hopefully, they are able to get an early one or two so they have some confidence going.
I'm hopeful, but line 1 and line 3 defense is suspect at best. Fingers crossed for a good showing. |

I hate the Blackhawks. Goes back to the 80’s when I got into hockey. Belfour amonte roenick chelios. St pattys day massacre was fun. I like Bedard a lot. He is talented. (frank) Kane and Toews. wieners. Bedard a new talented kid. Hopefully him and Thomas get into it the next time we play. Both players that won’t fight |

One of the blog's favorite trade targets Turcotte is playing LW on the third line with PLD and Lafrerrier.
The Kings have also consistently been playing a 11/7 forward D skater line-up. |

How would that work? Would Thomas just keep tapping the fish bowl trying to scare the fish?
I get people not liking Kane (though don't agree with it), but why don't you like Toews? Great player. Not too douchey. Respectful, etc. |

I'm guessing you forgot about the Toews-Backes drama. I could see why a Blues fan wouldn't like him |

Looks like they use him very sparingly (10 of 17 games under 10min TOI). Is he just a necessary evil at this point? Have to play him because no one else is available? |

I thought that was more with Seabrook/Keith. |

Right now that reason is that the Hawks are quite bad. |

I think Chunk hit it right, the Kings are a bigger more physical team, but I’ll stick with my prediction. But if they don’t it’s not a great loss as they can continue to challenge SJ for last spot. |

Seabrook was the one who lit him up with the elbow, but I've seen Toews fight Backes a couple of times, which amounts to probably 25% of his career fights. As a Blues fan, he's probably just jealous of him dominating them for a solid decade |

There were a number of villains during those years, Backes, Kessler, Burrows, Bieksa, Polak, Jackman, Erat, Torres and I’m sure I’ve missed a few. I hated the Canucks more than any team. Can’t wait for the Hawks to be good so we can have more villains and more teams to hate. |

Absolutely Backes was. Toews had multiple concussions and every time he came back from one when they played the Blues Backes would give Toews a shot in the head. First time he came near him. Every time. So I had to LMAO when Backes got lit up. Nobody deserved it more. If Toews wasn't already wearing the C Seabrook should have gotten it the next day.

Just curious dept:
After watching Byfield tonight - who is referred to as a beast on skates - some post may follow how we should draft Lindstrom, eh?
And if Clarke is or can become an offensive dynamo for the Kings,
Blackhawks version might be Kaiser out of third pair slot |

I’m watching the Guelph Saginaw game to see how Parekh plays in all situations. I’ve been following him for about three weeks now. He’s actually not bad providing defensive zone coverage, he wins his share of puck battles, he maintains a good gap and uses his stick very well to break up plays and he’s not shy about getting involved in physical battles. But man with the puck he seemingly makes something happen every time he’s in possession |

Technically Vlosters and Pang were gushing about it being Slaggert's first shift - it was technically his first even strength shift (he was out there briefly on that first PK -but wasn't on the ice for the goal). |

...and why does Athanasiou ALWAYS lose the puck again- please somebody remind me |
