He got the first line right, but Rodriques shouldn't be on the second line. |

A kuleekoff special for the first goal
and Goldie has been kind of annoying lately, lol it took him until Leafs went up 2-0 to mention that Leafs would only be 4 points back with a (regulation) win tonight. Before then all talk was assuming a Panther win.
Shut up Goldie |

Haha. Yea, Goldie is just kind of a generic announcer.

The Panthers cannot keep up with elite teams. They don't have the speed of other teams. They are constantly being beaten to the puck and their defensive system is breaking down because of it. If the Panthers don't come with their A game which is hard forechecking and backing checking, they might as well not show up for the game. |

But they really were doing just fine prior to the TDL.

They’re coasting a bit, and have been for a while now. We’ll see if it bites them in the ass come round one. While Maurice has been playing around with the lines to see what may work in the playoffs, if necessary.
Looked like they woke up a bit in the third period tonight, but who knows. Too much more and they’ll find themselves in 3rd place.
Verhaeghe left the game after the 2nd period. Didn’t see anything happen to him. |

Are you saying that the acquisitions caused a distraction?? I agree that they added nothing to the team and have disrupted the chemistry of the team. |

was yet again a disaster game. this team is simply incapable of playing 60 minutes. they show for the last 20 or less. tonight it was far too gone thanks mostly in part to a mr kulikov. He should never see Panthers ice again after that pathetic display. There is no way that Balinskis is worse than that |

Are the Panthers playing dead like possums? Only time will tell when it comes to playoff time. |

Habs and Sens next for the Cats....should be able to grab 4pts |
|

Right now, the Panthers are having problems with every team in the NHL. That's because every team uses the Panthers as a measuring stick. They want to beat the Panthers to show they are capable of beating a top-tier team. The Panthers on the other hand have a problem bringing their A-game every night. I just hope the Panthers turn it up a notch when the playoffs begin and do not want to get it over with so they can have a long Summer off. |

What a complete disaster and fall from grace
Kulikov just when I seen he was playing again and I said well he cant possibly be as bad as during Toronto game wham bam proven wrong again. That guy better not touch the non-practice ice again. Stolarz that wrap goal was ridiculous! you are 6'6 or whatever you should be post to post constantly that was so lazy. I think those two plays well 3 cause i am going to count Montour's stupid dive for the shorty goal were very deflating for the rest of the team. I took my jersey off half way through the game and am not sure I am putting it back on until the playoffs. This is stinky! |

They have to get back to how they were playing all season until recently. Their best defense seems to happen in the neutral zone, or even in the offensive zone, breaking up attacks before they get going. Once the opponent gets it set up in FL’s zone, it often becomes an adventure. They have taken the foot of the gas lately, they’re not forechecking with the same intensity and their whole game suffers from it. The one positive note is they’ve shown many times this year after sluggish play through 40 minutes that they can ramp it up quickly. They better be able to, because the way they’re playing currently isn’t it.
They are going to try to skate through Ottawa avoiding any big brouhaha and possible injuries.Matt Tkachuk probably sitting out another while recovering from the flu will help keep the game’s temperature down.
Then they start getting into playoff mode Saturday in Boston.

The only two games in the regular season that will mean anything are the one against the Bruins this Saturday and the last game of the season against the Maple Leafs. These will be a measuring stick for how they will do in the playoffs. As of now, it doesn't look good. The other teams have figured the Panthers out and the Panthers don't even look like they belong there. |
