Looks like Snuggerud is going back to MN for another year. I'd bet a month's salary that Moore will do the same and join him.

It’s a shame that nothing could have been done to help this team leading up to their playoff push, like, I don't know, maybe making a trade or two before the deadline to add some extra firepower to the lineup.

They were a bubble team at best at the trade deadline. Does it really make much sense to blow out assets to hopefully make the playoffs when you know the roster isn't good enough to compete?

One guy I’ve seen a few times is defenseman Henry Mews of the Ottawa 67s. About 6’ tall, a really good skater, exceptionally mobile, great edges, quick and fast. He’s a pretty decent offensive defenseman who joins the rush, can manage a powerplay, he’s a good passer and has a very good shot. But like many offensive defensemen, playing defense isn’t his strength but he’s not terrible either. He’s constantly ranking late in the first round, he may be a good pick up if he’s available in the second.

Need to wait another week or so to find out. If I'm laying a wager, I'd say he signs, but it could easily go either way. Maybe he wants to put a solid two years in college. Maybe he wants to stay the full term and screw the Hawks.

It's a mystery. That's the fun part.

I think he's wasting a development opportunity if he does. He's got three (possibly four) young defensemen on the team that are showing well. He's also got 2-3 promising forwards with one or two more looking to get a shot next year. Put some solid players around them to help them see what winning looks like.
