All this talk about accountability the past two seasons yet the coaching is not held accountable for a pathetic PP.

1) The 2023-24 Flyers set an unwanted new franchise record: The lowest single-season power play success rate in team history. The Flyers converted just 31 of their 254 power play opportunities, for a 12.2 percent success rate

The Flyers have achieved a consistent level of excellence unequaled in the NHL. They are the best at being the worst and determining that nothing needs to change.

What's Rocky been doing these last 2 years if not asking those around him for suggestions after everything he tried didn't work?

I may be off base but has anyone asked the analytics department for suggestions? I notice they weren't included in press conference?

Imagine ever believing that Michel Therrien and Rocky Thompson were actually qualified to design and run an NHL PP.

Ah, not to worry! They are going to have conversations internally. I am sure Sharp, LeClair, et al will fix the problem.

Fedotov re signed. At least with that contract, no way a vet goalie is signed in the summer, which is okay by me. Let the battle for #1 to begin between Ersson, Fedotov, and Kosolov.

People say that the PP issue pre-dates rocky, but what has he done to improve the PP?

Realistically who cares about the past when the presents sucks even more?

Really? So tell us then, who should be coaching the Power play for the Flyers and what evidence can you provide that would say that person would have any more success than the several coaches before him?

bottom line is Rocky is not the answer. Pure arrogance and everything else to have hi back running said PP.

assistant gm danny has no balls.

Joey Mullen

Roughly the same age as torts

Was successful in the past - past performance can be used to factor into how someone would perform in the job

I know I'm behind on this discussion but why didn't we utilize JVR more on PP during his time here? That was a flagrant dereliction of duty. He's recognized around the league as a good net front guy, but the people in our coaches room couldn't figure it out?

The most competent coach might be Brad Shaw. Got PK running good and actually did well with the defensman.

No he won't. I think the goalie of the future is in Lehigh. Kosolov will play in Lehigh and then eventually mature to the big team. Ersson and Fedotov are place holders in my eyes.

What a nice country club this is for coaches. You can run the worst PP in the NHL for two straight seasons and still have the head coach and GM say you did a good job.

And of course we had another 6th place finish for Lappy's Phantoms in a 8 team division. If not for the AHL's everyone gets a medal playoff format, their crappy season would be over.

Not really. They are only spending 4.7m overall in net for 2 years. Next year Peterson is done. And you should have a good season to see what happened in net. Did one outplay the other, did one struggle.

I would rather give the money then the years.

Also I can't say I wanted the Flyers to sign Gauthier if he pressed and then be a hypocrite if this was the cost to get Fedotov over.

If you can't name the coach you want, you can't offer an opinion apparently.

Even you would do a better job than Rocky or Therrien.
