Dubas didnt say they wouldn't let him talk to anyone. He said no one asked and they haven't proactively granted him permission.

I'm just really happy this rumor is catching. The Devils have draft picks and cap space.... a few ways they could help us. And for the record, I don't think Sully will do anything special with their roster. Maybe he helps them get in the playoffs? But he doesnt make them a contender as is.

Sid has always been described as the silent lead by example type, Letangs like a silent intense competitor and I’m not sure Malkin lays it on the line game in and out enough to call guys out. Like if Smith was actually moping around all year someone needs to call him out on the lockeroom.
