Oilers are going to get worked. This is exactly what you would want as a Canucks fan. Let's hope the amazing work of Silovs is only just beginning and we can see Skinner pulled a few times.

I think the forwards will look much better this series. Oilers team D isn't anywhere as committed as the Preds. Just have to stay out of the penalty box and it should be a close series

Highlights? You mean THE highlight. I thought the game was going to be decided by a coin toss.

Unbelievable feeling, the team getting into the second round. Truth be told, I expected them to beat the Predators, the playoff Oilers, not so much. But you never know.

Well here we are. Is Silovs the next Matt Murray find from JR/PA for the big cup run?

Got it done in GM 6 nice.

lol Nice to see it closed out in gm 6. Have to admit didn't think they'd get it done on the road but the club continues to surprise. So many chances for Suter and Silovs looked great. Now just need Pettersson to not become the next Mitch Marner and show up for the 2nd round. Garland and Hogs need to start filling the net as well. Gonna be a fun round here.

Lindholm has really turned it around and the fourth line was excellent. I'd like to see Podz in but you can't really break up that fourth line now.

Hopefully Petey will enjoy the space that the oilers d gives. If we don't give up too many odd man rushes we habe a fighting chance

Podz sucks and is where he belongs, in the AHL.

Should be a good series against the Oilers. They have the advantage in forwards, but we have far better D and goaltending and that usually is the difference. Canucks in 6

“Auston Matthews, Elias Pettersson and Jaccob Slavin are the three finalists for the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, for Gentlemanly play.”

That might send Reuby and Vantel over the edge.

Well i called that series, Canucks in 6
This one is all about limiting the Oilers PP, duh...we all know this. While the regular season was a sweep, this wont be. If the Canucks can...
1) Limit the PP chances against, Oilers bread and butter. Kings matched them 5v5 but lost the PP battle.
2) Match star for star output, or at least come close. Not concerned about Miller, Boeser, Hughes, but Petey needs to shine here.
3) Make crossing the blueline hurt. Need the Oilers bodies to be the same colour with or without their jerseys on.
4) Get in their heads, and make that regular season sweep count for something.
5) Get to Skinner early. If Silovs can outduel Skinner, especially in the first 2 games...HUGE. A rookie goalie standing on his head against Oilers weak goaltendering could turn the series. (See Point 4)
6) And once again, depth is in the Canucks favour.
Some big swing games predicted, Canucks take the close ones, and drop a blowout or 2 when the refs give the Oilers PP full reign.

Maybe do some research before you post your uninformed mouth breathing comments.
Enjoy the next wing night.

lol where is Rubes? Hopefully he's ok tonight...

"Artūrs Šilovs is a Latvian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League. Šilovs was selected by the Canucks in the sixth round, 156th overall, in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut with the team in 2023"

How about another Benning pick having huge impact!!!!

York you rule the Canuck school.

The Canucks passed the first test and usually those are the hardest.

Expect a total reset and a much more confident group in the next series. It’s the Oil so they know how to play them.

Time to graduate to the next level.

Thanks NYN.
It wasn’t a dream!
What a wacky series vs Nsh.

I too think this series vs Edm will be much different and more wide open. I fully expect Petey to shine here and get his mojo back.

Vancouver takes it.
