Bob Clarke was a hell of a hockey player but nobody should take anything he says seriously. Especially now that he's 75 w diabetes and CTE scrambling his brain. - Tomahawk
he is still sharp and peeps don't like when he speaks the truth is all. Not sure why peeps get all up in arms with what he said.
in time he will say something about fletcher as well. |

Sorry that you don't like law and order, buddy. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. - Feanor
Yeah ok if you can’t tell the difference and the double standard then your the problem. Don’t let critical thinking get in the way of ignorance and bliss I see. |

Florida looked like they've been resting for too long and the Bruins looked like they were engaged and ready to play. Should be a good series the rest of the way, assuming the Panthers wakeup. - Dave21Brown
Yea and it wasn’t like they were skating in mud. They just couldn’t finish. Good series indeed |

I saw someone joke a month ago that the 4th rd pick traded for Johnson was worth it because his play helped them move up from 17th to 12th in the draft. - Schmojo
I have never understood why this effect is not more discussed.
The hypothetical return from TK would likely be the same this summer as it would have been in the previous summer. But if the direct return is constant for a good player, getting rid of him early means you get better picks for longer.
Without TK, we would likely be picking 8th-ish this year. |

A team would pay more for having around for 2 playoff runs than 1. |

The flyers have a golden opportunity to tank next year and set themselves up with TWO franchise type players to start playing for them potentially starting in 25-26.
It’s clear as day what needs to happen. It’s murky imo what happens with konecny. So many in here see him resigning. I’m praying praying praying DB sees the same opportunity. I haven’t lost hope in him
I am dreaming of an opening day lineup containing Atkinson, deslauriers, etc |

to me GM/Coach Torts is calling the shots at the NHL level. Only way TK is gone imo is if he doesn't agree to an ext before the draft or right after. Flyers then will have the summer to move him. If he wants to stay tells me he just wants the cash. |

If Columbus options their second rounder to us we could get three picks in the top thirty six picks. Time to get this right and stay on track. |

Scott Wheeler did an interesting piece on a combined 2023/24 ranking of top prospects. His list was:
1. Connor Bedard(’23)
2. Macklin Celebrini (’24)
3. Matvei Michkov (’23)
4. Adam Fantilli (’23)
5. Leo Carlsson(’23)
6. Will Smith (’23)
7. Artyom Levshunov (’24)
8. Ivan Demidov (’24)
9. Cole Eiserman (’24)
10. Zayne Parekh (’24)
11. Sam Richardinson (’24)
12. Zeev Buium (’24)
13. Anton Silayev (’24)
14. Zach Benson (’23)
15. Gabe Perreault (’23)
16. Berkly Catton (’24)
17. Konsta Helenius (’24)
18. Cayden Lindstrom (’24) - Schmojo
I am astonished at this.
I thought all you knowledgeable guys were saying this year is a weak draft. But the list is littered with 24s. 11 of 18?!
And I thought MM was borderline generational. Celebrini that good?!

My lady is Type I like Clarkie. She's had it since she was a kid. If her blood sugar is out of range she can get irritable. If it's way out of range she goes cuckoo. And over time the diabeetus causes cumulative brain damage. |

Everyone on this board hoping for this should become the biggest Torts fan because the only way this happens outside a goaltending collapse is for the team to quit on him and early in the season. |
